teen!tony

Oh god he is the exact way Riku describes him: A bad fusion of both Simon & Anna. It's the only proper way to begin his bullet pointsklmsdv

Extremely hyper but EXTREMELY friendly at the same time. I do not think he had a mean bone in his body.

Not very srs business. At all. But he is open with his emotions and speaks his mind whether anyone likes it or not.

Is actually really focused on the things he's really interested in, aka bothering the hell out of Riku & trying to get him to be his buddy HAHA.

Does not come off as obnoxious to most people, surprisingly enough. I think everyone who knows him sort of does a "..." over Tony instead of getting annoyed. He's sort of the class clown, though not many people can handle him on a daily basis, but he does have a good sized group of friends.

Lives with his aunt and uncle. He really likes them & he's always lived in a very positive household with them.

How he ended up with his aunt & uncle is because he was kind of in a difficult situation with his parents. They like... argued. A lot. And was always "on the verge of getting a divorce" but never got one? I DON'T KNOW they were just kind of figures that yammered to one another in Tony's mind 'cause all they did was fight, which lead to him being neglected. Don't think he was a very expressive kid at home because of it, but he was always really 8D outside. Not forcefully, either, he's just... a happy guy in general. Tended to let the bad rush over his head without really thinking about it, HAHA.

So no real BAW because of it. I think if he was asked he'd kind of scratch his head and say that it happened 'cause it happened? ... yeah, he's really upbeat. :(

He is an only child! Yippie!

... he thinks his name is special for some reason. Like, puff-out-chest & SPARKLE~ special. So that's why he'd be all "OMG YOU HAVE THE SAME NAME I DO YOU'RE COOL" to Ralph's Tony whenever he gets to meet him. Let's disregard the fact that there are many other people with the name 'Tony' out there in the world, just like he does. Though if someone ever introduced themselves as Tony he'd do the exact same thing, I think. "WE'RE BFFS NOW, BRO" etc. etc. OH TONY.

Reaaaaally likes Riku. Like, a whole lot. Always jumps at the chance to talk to him and try to wiggle his way into his personal life somehow. Rob would probably be his ULTIMATE TARGET, though, 'cause Rob is Riku's doki-doki which obviously means if he gets a golden star from Rob then he gets a golden star from Riku. He's a genius. Really.

Likes to cook, especially when he's cooking with his aunt. Thinks it's all sorts of fun, and he's actually really good at it, too!

Sleeps in the middle of class a lot. Most teachers don't mind it if they've had him twice 'cause otherwise he'd be bothering other people or asking 9832748932 questions. Best to keep him sedated. But he actually does not do too bad in school. Is a B average student that's on good terms with almost everyone, so nobody can really complain. Though I think all the other teachers are all /AMUSED since Riku is his target. SORRY, RIKU, it's like your second (fourth...) job or something.

Even if he does tons of things & cannot sit still for very long, he's not a part of any kind of groups/sports/whatnot. I'm not really sure why since it would probably be a good idea if he was, he just doesn't seem too interested in stuff that requires a certain amount of commitment.

Tony only likes doing fun things with his friends. I'm not getting anything on how he spends his time alone (maybe doesn't since his aunt/uncle are so fond of him that they actually do a lot of things as a 'family' until it's time for bed), so I think he likes hanging with his friends a lot & goes over to their house to bug their family whenever possible. GOOD THING THEIR PARENTS LIKE TONY A LOT, HAHA.

He is a terrible artist but he has a habit of doodling really stupid things on his notes & showing them off. ... especially to Riku. "HERE'S YOU & ME BEING AWESOME TOGETHER!" It ends up in many boinks.

Just... likes to be near people. I think that's the only time he'd conform to someone else's routine/personality. See the conversation of Rob handling Tony; he'd get it after many boinks that Rob isn't the type to be able to handle a person like Tony (very often), thus he will quietly sit/curl up next to him or something just so he's near someone. Guess this would only happen if he didn't have anyone else to bother, though. Or if the particular person he's around is someone he wants to be around.

Like uh. He can get away with a lot around Riku 'cause Riku is pretty much a second dad to him or something HAHA. So Riku is pretty immune to Tony (albeit exhausted/frustrated around him most of the time) and kind of work him after he's figured him out, but a lot of other people don't go past the surface with Tony since there's not a lot underneath the surface. But just like anyone else, Tony has things about him that only certain people will be able to pick up on. Not everyone will be able to put two & two together since Tony is so OUT THERE to begin with.

He's actually a pretty good singer? I'm not sure what side of the family he got it from, but yeah, he can hold a nice tune.

DOESN'T OWN A CELLPHONE CURRENTLY. Can't keep track of one to save his life. ... in fact, I think he's a little old-fashioned in that way. I don't think he uses the computer very often. The only HIGH TECH thing he likes is video games. He even has his old Nintendo 64...

Augh now... trio-talk. Uhhh the thing with younger Tony is that he doesn't really differentiate between people. He has favorites, but if you asked him WHY, I think his answer would be "'CAUSE I DO!" and not listing out what kind of qualities in a person that he likes. So he's very straight-forward and soon has favorites (Tony & Alyssa) but doesn't hate/reject anyone? It's confusing 'cause I'm still trying to figure out on why he stuck with them and not other people since he's attached to very little. Will have to think about this more.

Tony = his little chocobo. Loves his hair, loves putting him in his lap, loves fawning over him, etc. etc. He'd even get a part-time job to support his hobbies (COUGHgundamsCOUGH) 'cause he likes the look on Tony's face when he gets all "///" over them. ... yeah idk.

Alyssa = his little princess. Or rather, that's the first thing he thought of when he saw her: a princess. Plus she likes to run around with him and she gives him treats (?) so WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE??? Past that? lol I dunno more things to look into.

college!tony

Went to France for the summer with his aunt and uncle before college times with his bffs. They traveled around a lot to see... stuff. Idk. The reason they went will be explained via fic or something later. :( But the France trip in general is pretty important to Tony's big change over the summer.

Picked up a lot of French since he hung out with a lot of French kids his age. Also really likes French music because of this. Probably comes back and throws in French every now and then when he speaks orz

Also played a lot of sports/had lots of physical activity in general with said French friends: Football (soccer), handball, rugby, tennis, basketball, and parkour (his favorite besides football). He also starts to jog/run early in the morning, too.

*** Didn't contact chocobo or Alyssa throughout the summer. He had too much to do and no time to really stop and contact them. Sent maybe one or two postcards throughout the duration of his trip, though.

Uhhh he gets taller HAHA. Like. Idk he sprouts like a weed. Probably went from 5'7" to 6'3" or something ridiculous like that.

Because of the FRANCE TRIP & his general change, he finally knows how to express himself in different ways. Like... he now knows how to go :( or whatever. He's just well-developed as a person after the summer and opens up some stuff that his kid!self couldn't really handle/didn't want to handle. Or somethingjdhfv

Probably starts to date in college. Think he's mainly heterosexual but there are always exceptions for Tony 'cause he's... Tony. Still, he'd choose a girl out of a crowd before a guy if given a choice. *** But I noticed that he's not... really picky in terms of grabbing at people. Definitely more heterosexual than anything else, but he isn't like EWWWW MENS or whatever.

Speaking of relationships, he does want to grow up and have a family. Tony & Alyssa (& his aunt/uncle + Riku... and Rob) are his family but he'd like to go steady with someone someday. Likes the idea of having someone to come home to for the rest of his life since he knows people move on after a while. Not that he wants to move away from his bffs or anything, it's just a thought for the future.

He gets really busy in college. Like uh... goes to parties to hang out with people and socialize, but I have a feeling that he always comes back to Tony & Alyssa at the end of the day 'cause they're like family to him. Or rather, a comfort zone that he likes being in. I have an image of him coming into one of their dorms while they're studying and just. Puts his head in Tony or Alyssa's lap. Hi there you're warm.

Is doing some type of sport in college. I'm not sure what at the moment. It's a toss-up between track & soccer (you would've inspired him for the second, Tony!) so I guess I'll have to wait & see...

He's a stud. Since he got all tall and handsome and hot over the summer he waltzed into college and BAM. Suddenly has lots of fangirls. Which he actually does not mind one bit. C'mere, ladies.

Plays the guitar. Picked it up from one of his friends in France and refined it a bit more in college.

An interesting part of college!Tony has to do with the way he deals with his extreme need for attention. While his younger self was all over the place and just got the attention by being HIMSELF (see annoying the hell out of people until they like him, or even just curling up next to someone, like Rob; I've noticed that he is rarely never left alone after his aunt & uncle take him in, so it's always been there, just... in a different form), an older Tony finds himself energized by being around people. The only bad part is that he sometimes finds it through the girls who swoon~ over him, and it almost seems kind of uh. Unhealthy, in a way?

Like, he's really subtle about needing the attention 'cause people like him by default, but I think this is attached to his childhood issues with his parents. He gets in touch with that part of himself over time, though he needs to find better coping skills orz... It's true that he has Tony & Alyssa, and while they give him a lot, Tony needs a lot more than they're able to fully understand, I think. I'm sure he'll either grow out of it or find different ways to "deal" with it, but atm that's the way it is, so. Yes.

Uhhh I don't know why, but I think Tony has a tiny crush on Alyssa. Which is weird since he's all WAH CLARA WAH and still loves her a lot, but. Yeah, it doesn't make much sense to me since he makes those HA HA YOUR GIRLFRIEND, CHOCOBO? comments/tease Alyssa endlessly and whatnot. Then again, TOO MANRY TO SHOW FEELINGS so he just word-vomits stuff while keeping his emotions on the side. Either way it's still a crush, though I doubt he'd ever act on it, especially when Alyssa is chocobo's "girlfriend". That and... you know, problems with commitment. It's just a big mess & will get even more ironic later when I flesh some other stuff out with Alyssa.

Speaking of Clara, I think he keeps in touch with her via letters. He keeps them in a special box and everything :(

Noticed that he's not very touchy-feely if it has to do with mushy emotional stuff. Sure, he'll give hugs if someone seems to need them, but if it's like. Random cuddles he just feels uncomfortable doing that kind of stuff. SIGH.

Tony is in SAVE. I'm not sure when he started, but I'm assuming it was around summer time. Looking more into this, but I realized after the James Bond comment in chocobo and Tony's spam that he really does do a James Bond-ish job.

Not sure if he's in a large team or just works for them in general. He's just kind of getting started, after all. Will work this out some more later.

He knows Nathan fairly well. Not enough to be bffs or anything, but I think he's worked with him once. Or something.

tony & save
Okay, so his grandfather on his father's side used to work in SAVE. Was like... in a high position or w/e so people respected him, etc. But his son/Tony's dad was kind of a... loser, I guess, and kept taking money from his dad's account/SAVE's account and using it for god knows what. IDK If his (Tony's dad's) father had enough time to pay attention to that, but when he did find out he got angry, they had a fight, then he went off to an assignment. Something went wrong in the mission though so Tony's grandfather died in the process, leaving Tony's dad with all this debt that was racked up.

Like I said, Tony's dad is a really big asshole but he got married, had a kid (Tony), and kind of ignored all the bills/threats that kept being sent to their house. While SAVE is a very uh, understanding company, they also understood the circumstances and really felt like Tony's grandfather was being disrespected by Tony's dad blowing them off. Hence letters or whatever. Think that was part of why Tony's parents argued so much, tbh, which just snowballed into even worse problems between them. They were too focused on their "marriage" to pay any attention to Tony, etc. etc.

After a while Tony's father left/disappeared one day and didn't come back. Dunno where he went but he hid himself pretty well 'cause the debt was thrown onto Tony's mom. Not being able to handle it she kind of took it out on Tony at times, but she's not THAT psycho so she mainly just got really angry because she was stressed constantly and then, well. Abandoned Tony. Cue Christmas rescuing times.

SAVE refused to put that debt onto Tony (& his aunt/uncle) 'cause he's just a kid, so they just withdrew the case as a lost cause or whatever. But after Tony came back from France he decided to go through a box of stuff from his old home that his aunt and uncle had packed up for him. Important papers, whatever else. That's when Tony found the letters SAVE wrote and he got angry (at his dad) and felt kind of... I dunno, ashamed. That's when he decided to contact SAVE (to repay the debt somehow, though mainly for FAMILY HONOR or whatever 'cause his aunt/uncle mean A LOT to him) but sort of just. Froze up on it for some reason. So he decided to mull over it some more.

Tony obviously did not contact chocobo or Alyssa when he returned, and this is mainly from being emotionally/mentally distraught over the stuff that keeps kinda piling up on his shoulders. But he's manry, decides to take it LIKE a man, though wants some time to himself so that he can think things over.

One day he goes out and is kinda walking around the area when Hilda spots him from a distance (she's probably visiting Nathan since she does it every once in a while because, well, capooting puppy). For an hour or so she kind of "stalks" him (using this term lightly since she's just watching him for a bit to make sure that her assumptions are right) before approaching him when he's somewhere kind of desolate. Asks him if he's Tony [INSERT LAST NAME HERE WTH PEOPLE DON'T HAVE LAST NAMES IN PR], Tony's like "... yeah?" before she kind of bows a little. Which throws Tony off (/BLINK BLINK) before she tells him that his grandfather was a great man/her mentor/that Tony looks EXACTLY like him, hence her being pinged.

So this REALLY tugs at Tony, they go off into idk a coffee shop, then sit down and talk. He gets info about SAVE and is like wtf is that I had no idea, just that his grandfather was kind of an awesome dude or whatever. Hilda tells him everything, says that SAVE has absolutely no hard feelings on him (wasn't at fault, etc.) but she couldn't help but approach him since she admired his grandfather. Might've been a mentor to her or something, who knows.

This is when Tony says that he wants to repay the debt despite not having to, Hilda says it isn't necessary, but Tony insists because, well. Pride, feeling bad about it, not liking that his family name has something bad attached to it still (bad for his aunt/uncle mainly) and whatnot. Hilda caves in because she understands, contacts SAVE, then she brings him with her to their headquarters.

I think this is when Tony runs into Nathan, they're like "D8" because DID NOT EXPECT ONE ANOTHER THERE but Hilda decides that Nathan should show him what Tony should be doing for SAVE. My thoughts is that he just becomes a dispute mediator on smaller cases that he would be able to handle (not big kidnappings, aka the stuff Nathan does) but has to train to be able to know how to handle the situation if things get bad. So Tony trains for the three or so weeks he has until school, gets pretty decent at hand-to-hand combat and knows how to handle a gun fairly well (this is pretty much ALL HE DID in his spare time, so), but Hilda nudges him off to be social and to go to that welcome party before he starts off his first assignment. Still needs to be a normal "kid", etc.

By then Tony is pretty beat but also feeling really good because he can do some good AND clear up his family's name. (I also think both Hilda and Nathan give him money for stuff he needs--misc school tuition stuff, food, housing, whatever else he might need, especially since Tony's uncle is still in France--because Tony is still technically an employee of SAVE, but, well. He's doing this for DEBT repaying, so Hilda and Nathan kinda have a Grownup Talk about it and tell him it's only fair.) Even if his uncle is only related by marriage through Tony's aunt, Tony still doesn't like the fact that both his aunt and uncle kind of got shit from other family members because of his aunt being the sister to Tony's mom, so. Yeah, they kind of got shunned in that aspect, except from distant relatives and whatnot.

This is why Tony is in better spirits once he gets to the party. Hormones kinda go off the handle, though, 'cause he's, well. Typical guy with typical needs. Knows that he can't be with Clara (at least not until things get straightened out with SAVE), so he decides to just keep in contact with her via letters. They sort of had a mutual understanding on that when Tony explained, thankfully. Anyway, since he's opened up a million and one doors from his past, he understands that he needs human contact to get through the day, hence him choosing more of a physical route than emotional ones, else he would've just gotten a girlfriend and called it quits. But again, ~emotions~ don't settle well with him (unless it's Clara), he doesn't want someone else to get tied up in his messes (overprotective, lone-wold kinda MANRINESS), etc. etc. whatever.

Cue seeing chicken and Alyssa. Though on the topic of Alyssa: Think he's always had a slight crush on Alyssa in at least the back of his mind, so when he sees her again he's like "HNNNGGG" or whatever. But Alyssa is Alyssa (off limits because he LIKES HER and not just for her girly body bits + is chocobo's "girlfriend") so he kind of ignores the feelings as best as he can and just moves on with his life (aka groping womens).

The party got him a lot of contacts (females mainly orz), he does his thing, trains a bit more with SAVE (another reason why he's just not around for chicken or princess) and juggles the first few weeks of school as best as possible. By then he's feeling guilty that he hasn't hung out with anyone. Chooses to stick to chicken because he'd... feel awkward being left alone with Alyssa. ALL of the above is mainly why he's kind of strapped for patience, and why he got short with chocobo from time to time. Also because he's grown up, but mainly just. Not having the tolerance for too much derp/resistance. Really, really hates himself for it afterward (is just glad that he isn't flying off the handle and physically hurting chicken bawk bawk) so he tries to control himself as much as possible. Cue our most recent thread with them.
