X & more plottings

God, what to say about X. He's a bunch of confusing things smooshed into one person, which leaves him rather... complicated, to put it lightly.

For one thing, he is referred to as the "mad type" for a reason, right? But I soon realized that X is much, much more than just that. His compassionate ways may be twisted, but he's very sincere with said twisted compassion. He cares about the others enough to try and give them what he thinks they want, etc. so on and so forth.

Which brings us to the topic of him being Roxas' disease. In a way, I think X is closest to Roxas in terms of like. Hm. Mental/emotional stuff? I feel like he was first "born" inside of him, though that's a complicated thought in itself. Roxas' own madness stemmed from said disease, so it's like. Roxas is born with an unknown illness -> Disease spreads and stays in Roxas' body, which in turn... -> X is "created" inside of him. BUT that makes X know how bad the disease really is, because he sort of lived through it. X was created because of the disease (is the disease), as Roxas fell into madness because of it.

... augh I'll. Form this all out later. :') Back to his personality.

X really does take on a different personality when around other people. He sort of... matches his own with theirs, so to say? Like a chameleon who changes to match the scenery.

With Rob, he's definitely more calm and collected than usual. With Simon, his feelings are on overdrive, because Simon is so ADD, but he feels so enthralled because of it, which we already spoke on before. His personality fuels the sort of schizo-like part of him, if that makes any sense. And with Anna, he's really affectionate, but it quickly turns into anger because Anna is extremely timid around him. Not sure why that is, seeing as how Anna doesn't exactly get unnerved about anything very often. He takes things in stride, etc. And with Oliver, well. He's not a challenge at all, and while he'd find him boring if he were a normal human being, he instead finds himself pleased because Oliver is so easy to bully. He can physically affect him without trying, while the others take a lot of work.

Now onto what we talked about last night. Will TL;DR more about X when I... get him to talk. :| Which is weird since he LOVES TO TALK.

Hm. Since Anna has already seen X, part of me wants to say that he's already "infected"? But like Roxas, he holds it back as best as he can, though it depends on what part of the disease he has. Maybe the general pain? Though it just gets worse as time goes on? Idk because all I know is that Rob is the second to see X without the barrier (unless you want something different...?), but what about Simon and Oliver? Because things could be different depending on the timeline.

I know after Rob talks to X he has the whole school adventure thing where he finally acts differently, Mommy Riku gets a report back about it, Anna steps in (FINALLY DOING SOMETHING THAT ISN'T "RIGHT" god), then... either Simon has his dream first & gets taken away, Anna brings Oliver to Simon since he doesn't want Simon to be in there, cue Oliver needing Simon (& being selfish for once), then after he makes it known that he needs him then Oliver has his own dream? 'Cause like I said, it's... going to be bad. Since we have more shoved in there, well. Gotta like, you know, plan it all right because like you I'm into DETAILS.

But we gotta fit in Anna going into v3...

Maybe after he notices all of them finally having those "symptoms" he does something about it? 'Cause I don't think he realizes right off the bat that everyone would have those problems, just like him. Because it'll either have to go really quick-like (v3 appearing, I mean) or we plan something different, 'cause Simon being taken out by Anna is one thing, but Sora giving the a-okay (or mommy Riku, even) is another. Sora'd probably get suspicious, probably adding onto Anna's panic, which doubles when he a) finds out about the others having issues & b) X being all "blah blah blah yeah like there's anything you can do about it", which was his major flaw because he... does not know about Sora's little restart machine thing. OOPS on X's part, it foils his plans, then he has to start over again.

Or... or all of their symptom things could happen after v3? 'cause by then Anna is all DERP DERP & Rob is back at their place (+ he tells Riku about them all, right?) & Simon and Oliver are being Simon and Oliver. Should the bad "no barrier" dreams be then, too? Or at least Simon & Oliver's? AUGH IDK throwing out ideas, here.

EDIT I;
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: I think the order of infection is um. Anna (like you said), Rob (because he's known X longer), Oliver, Simon?
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: Putting Simon at the end 'cause he's... hard to infect.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: OKAY. Hm. We'll have to do some more stuff with Oliver and Simon, then, 'cause Oliver isn't at the point where he can miss anyone? If that makes any sense at all.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: /takes note of that
[livejournal.com profile] captive: /good PR student
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: Maybe the infection of Oliver happens after Rob have lapses in memory?
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: Like, since Oliver looks up to him, etc.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: & then when Simon is locked up (we need to work out the details too), it kinda.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: Hits Oliver all at once.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: One or two things wouldn't propel him, I don't think, so having many bad things happenng at once.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: ... man, the lapses in memory would start to disturb Rob. Maybe even scare him. 'cause he doesn't want to forget anyone/be reset like v.1 Anna was.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: HMM. So it would go "Rob's memory problems -> Simon is locked up -> Oliver's freakout -> X finally breaks through and is like HELLO 8)"? Or...? Because that would work, I think, even if X could probably break in anytime. But I'm sure he'd like to wait until he can really damage him, like I said in that future Oliver fic.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: ... poor Rob. :< Riku would be worried, too.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: I think X is able to break out only when they start breaking through their mold?
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: I mean, Simon kinda flucuates all over the place, Rob has developed, Anna is way ahead, but...
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: Oliver was kind of like the safety.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: He never went anywhere, but with this, he's changed.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: & that lets X to be like AHAHA /BREAKS THINGS
[livejournal.com profile] captive: HAHAHA yeah! Okay, that sounds good. ... hm. Would Oliver's uh. "Meeting" with X outside of that barrier-- er or rather the aftermath (if it's bad enough) make Simon. Idk I know it's hard for him to change enough to let X be like "HI 8) HEHEHEE" so I was wondering what some of his breaking points would be?
[livejournal.com profile] captive: Unless... you don't know orz
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: ... wait, are you asking about Simon's breaking point?
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: /got lost D8
[livejournal.com profile] captive: YEAH. Because I was going to ask if the aftermath of Oliver's meeting with X would fuel some of said breaking point? But then I cut myself off because I wondered what would exactly be his breaking point in general, seeing as how he, yeah, fluctuates all over the place.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: 'Cause it seems like everything builds up to it, so. Stacking issues = X breaking in.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: I... really don't know, 'cause Simon is stable in his instability? If that makes sense.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: I mean, he's going to be PISSED OFF when he sees Oliver in that state.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: But RAGE is something he's felt before. Though this time, it'd be RAGE on account of someone else's pain than his own (compared to his RAGE at Anna).
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: I think Simon's "breaking point" (or rather, changing point?) would be when he feels emotions at a less... explosive level?
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: Soft things baffle him.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: ... which might be why he goes all TSUN whenever Oliver does nice things.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: ... what if like, after a bit Oliver sort of. Needs Simon's comfort, in a way? Like he's so shaken that he actually tries to initiate it? He won't understand why he's doing it but it feels right, so. Not in a pushy way, of course, just really matter-of-fact-like?
[livejournal.com profile] captive: I can't explain it.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: Can't say how Oliver will be AFTERWARD, but it's a possibility.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: Er. After him and X interact without that wall there, I mean. There are so many different things he could do, that's why I'm like ":| I have no idea what's going on here" unlike usual.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: He = Oliver.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: /YAMMERS
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: Simon would... try to give the comfort, but it'd be uncomfortable for him, probably. He'd much rather drag Oliver around to distract him.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: I-- REALLY DON'T KNOW. It's probably another one of those things that'll work itself out as we play?
[livejournal.com profile] captive: OKAY. Yeah see we're all... baffled on that part, HAHA. 'Cause it could go two different ways? Since they have such an... interesting dynamic. It's unique.

EDIT II;
[livejournal.com profile] captive: I'll just say that X is a huge unknown for now. Even after having him for a very long time in my mind, he still makes no sense.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: It's like a black hole. I can't get near it.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: At least his name fits? X = variable, etc.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: /IS A NERD
[livejournal.com profile] captive: ... X contradicts himself. I mean, his logic, not his words. Though no, he does that too, but like you said, it's not normal logic? Love =/= what he's doing right now, but to him that's what it is. It's like the disease. It contradicted itself ALL THE TIME and made ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. So it was never cured, never figured out.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: Ohh. OHHH.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: /EPIPHANY
[livejournal.com profile] captive: Basically he's not supposed to be figured out.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: Because it's literally impossible to do so.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: Ohhhh.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: 'cause the disease was never figured out?
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: /TRYING. TO FOLLOW HERE.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: Yes. And he was born from the disease/is the disease. So unlike the others, he literally does not make sense. Physically (he's not "normal" like their normal), mentally (off-the-wall logic that exceeds even Simon's logic), emotionally (plays off of other's emotions, but also stands firm in his own), etc. And since the disease never made sense/could never be figured out (even to this day, since I'm assuming Sora is actually still researching said disease after many years), that means X isn't supposed to be.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: Like you said, unknown variable. Find the variable. But the equation that goes with it is what shifts X to be something different.
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: Oooh. THIS MAKES A LOT OF SENSE.
[livejournal.com profile] captive: /PREENS
[livejournal.com profile] captive: /A LOT
[livejournal.com profile] pearlet: /GIVES CUDDLES
[livejournal.com profile] captive: HAHA TAKE THAT X TAKE THAT I FIGURED... how you cannot be figured out. orz
