[ gee gee gee gee baby baby~ you got a text message, nathan.

"open the door locks changed???" ]

IS DAMN GOOD LOOKING, THANK--

[ the rest of his words is cut off as he tries his best to shield himself from the swatting with one hand while the other one flailed about in poor retaliation. kicks with his legs briefly before making one heck of an effort to bodily throw nathan off when all else seems to fail. ]

[ force + gravity + nathan = whoops, there he goes, landing on the mattress on his back with an OOF-!, not knowing if that exactly went as planned. still, he blinks up at the ceiling and just stays still, soon craning his neck to the side and upward to get a glance at damon. nudges him with a foot. ]

Man, you suck.

[ breathing heavily & out of steam, his body seems to give out, keeping him sprawled across the mattress as well. lets out a breathless chuckle & a cough. after a moment, he nudges back tiredly. ]

Sore loser.

[ tries to catch his breath as he flops his head back down. speaks a little tiredly, halfheartedly. ]

Nu-uh. I totally won.

[ his eyes are already drooping closed, looking more content and subdued than the endorphin high he had been on just moments ago. ]

Heh. Sure. Whatever you say, N.

[ this is when he would grin if he were able to, but the sentiment is still there. allows some silence to pass between them, still staring up at the ceiling before finally saying: ]

Hey, uh. Damon?

Mnrrh? [ that's all he can initially manage with the exhaustion and sleepiness weighing on him at the same time. he fights off the sleep for a few moments longer however, his priorities forcing his consciousness back up to the surface to listen to whatever nathan has to say. ]

Sorry, what was that?

Uh.

[ kind of struggles for a second, then sighs and tilts his head again to try and get a good look at him. there's something a little softer (calmer, appreciative, easier than normal) in his eyes. ]

... welcome home.

[ the corner of his lips quirk upwards as he nods, albeit a little sluggishly. ]

Thanks. [ a long exhale here as his body relaxes into sleep, with the next bit a little slurred but no less meaningful. ] Good to be home.
