[ circles around to face her boys when they get inside of the park, taking out her handy dandy map to look over it. doesn't take too long in deciding what to do first; hands go on her hips, giving them a look as if she's leading an army going to war, though the smile on her face adds something more pleasant onto the double-meaning. ]

So I was thinking that we should split up first and meet up for lunch later. It's pretty crowded today. Going in twos is the best option, since we don't want to lose any short people.

[ her voice is light and playful, though she turns her attention to the pond that they've finally approached. peers down at it, watching the ducks bob around on the water. ]

[ is also similarly distracted, once again letting go over her hand so that he could approach them at his own pace.

circles the pond slowly so that he doesn't alarm them, raising the camera to take two quick photos. ]

[ watches from where she stands, briefly reaching into her purse to take out her cellphone. flips it open, staring at the time.

slips it back into her bag once she realizes that they have plenty of time left. is honestly too content in observing damon to really care all that much. ]

[ is currently honking back at the ducks when they waddle up at him to quack. then seems to rummage around in his pockets, pulling out weird gadgets & pieces of paper. huffs out a breath, shoving them back in before he jogs quickly towards brianna, the ducks following him via water, still quacking. ]

Sis, got any food?

[ blinks a few times and tilts her head to look into her purse. pulls out some candy, holding it up for damon to see. ]

[ stares at it for a moment before grabbing one to pop into his mouth. speaks around it. ]

No, more like bread or something. Stuff ducks eat?

[ looks around and spots something. turns back to damon. ]

Be a good boy and wait here for a moment, alright?

[ blinks, then shrugs. ]

Huh. Yeah, sure, s'long as you're getting something for them.

[ winks and wanders off; it takes her a while but she finally heads back over to damon, holding five unsalted pretzels in her hands. ]

The man was very insistent on giving me four more for free! Lucky~

[ hands three over to him, immediately chowing down on hers without another word. ]

[ grins & accepts them. ] Thanks, sis.

[ & then turns back to his quacking followers, bending down when some of them waddle out of the pond in anticipation. quickly crunching on his candy while prying one of the pretzels apart, gathering some crumbs before throwing them. snickers when one flaps upward for a crumb when he angles it a little too high. looks back at brianna, waving her over. ]

[ realizes she's being called half-way through her second pretzel. swallows it, making her way on over. pries off some of the pretzel in damon's hands (her food is too precious for her to give up, after all). rips apart a few small pieces and-- toss!

looks slightly amused when two of the ducks duel it out for the pieces, tossing more to the loser in the battle afterward. ]

[ puts one of the pretzels in his mouth once he swallows the last of the candy. maneuvers himself a little so that he could bring up the camera to take a photo of her in mid-throw & then a few more after that.

lowers himself completely onto the ground afterward so that he's sitting cross-legged while munching on his pretzel. watches the rest of the ducks come onto shore & tosses a few more crumbs into their midst. ]

[ eyes flicker briefly over to him, resuming their position without a word. throws the last of her pretzel pieces, brushing off the crumbs on her hands. those same hands go on her hips, staring down at damon, her voice a little more softer than usual when she asks: ]

[ does not answer immediately, instead throwing the rest of his & finishing the one he's munching on. gets to his feet, dusts off his pants, turns to her to reply at last. ]

[ reaches out to brush some of his hair away from his face, lifting up slightly to press a kiss against his cheek. ]

[ smiles a little crookedly, staying close until tact forces him to move away. shakes at his head a bit to dislodge the hair back into the right positions above his face & stretches a bit. ]
