[ circles around to face her boys when they get inside of the park, taking out her handy dandy map to look over it. doesn't take too long in deciding what to do first; hands go on her hips, giving them a look as if she's leading an army going to war, though the smile on her face adds something more pleasant onto the double-meaning. ]

So I was thinking that we should split up first and meet up for lunch later. It's pretty crowded today. Going in twos is the best option, since we don't want to lose any short people.

[ tilts his head & then offers a hand down towards nathan after a moment of thought (hesitation). ]

[ whaps it away with a hand, still trying to calm himself down. his angry expression slides from his face when he looks up at albert, a mixture between being tired & something else that's not as rough around the edges as he usually gives him coming into view when he speaks: ]

You owe me five churros if I don't throw this one up, got it?

[ smile does not flicker in quality, stubbornly in place even as his eyes close half-way for a moment. but once the moment is over, his expression is back to normal; does not look surprised either, withdrawing his hand without further advancement. ]

Would five be enough?

No way! [ gets to his feet, suddenly looking defiant. ] So I want ten of them!

As you wish.

[ that's the only warning he gives before he turns, starting to walk out of the building. ]

[ shoves his hands into his pockets and starts to walk with him, finally taking notice of the people staring at them again. flails his arms around, pausing to say: ]

WHAT?! GOD, don't you people have anything better to do? Mind your own business!

[ turns to face albert's back again, joining him in their march back to the outside world. ]

[ goes immediately in the shade of the building, sunglasses going back in place. is once again drawing an unnecessarily large amount of attention by simply standing there, looking to the clock: one hour left. ]

Shall we get your churros?

Huh? [ looks up at him, genuinely confused. ] But we're eating soon, aren't we?

I believe your stomach can handle at least one more before lunch.

[ doesn't finish that line of thought as he turns to walk back to where the churro stand is at. ]

[ chuckles & follows, though at a more languid pace. head is turned up toward the sky, basking in the sunlight a little. ]

[ slips into the line for the churros easily, not bothered with the fact that it's relatively longer than last time. is now too busy watching everyone around him, eventually catching the sight of families and friends together and finally processing what albert had said to him before; he guesses it's worth the money, especially with the smiles and laughter.

frowns briefly over something, shaking his head before taking a few steps forward, waiting for the rest of the people in front of them to come & go. ]

[ is also watching the families, though he turns away in time. other than the occassional shifts in posture, he is silent as he waits in line, only speaking to murmur a quiet "thank you" when their turn finally arrives & he is given a churro. hands the treat to nathan as he pays, soon slipping out of line. takes a quick sip of his water before he turns. ]

To the restaurant, then.

[ nods, eyes down on his churro in thought. takes a few steps away from the line and albert before pausing. with his gaze still on the item in hand he frowns deeper, eventually turning his head up to look at him again. his voice is clear, not mumbled, yet it's vague in its meaning despite its simplicity: ]

[ had already started walking toward the general direction of the restaurant when he hears it, makes him freeze in his steps. ]

[ eyes flicker briefly to the ground before a much softer smile overtakes his features; does not turn to face nathan, but he is unable to keep the emotion out of his voice when he answers. ]

[ doesn't say anything back, unsure if he should (could). feels something weird & kind of fuzzy inside his chest, but he shakes his head and bites off a chunk of his churro instead of lingering on the feeling, walking next to albert this time instead of running ahead or behind. ]

[ & keeps his gait at a reasonable pace so that nathan does not have to speed up, not looking at him to keep to the silent peace between them. merely looks ahead, making turns when necessary, but not straying. simply enjoying as they walk toward the promised restaurant. ]
