[ sneezes & sighs, shivering as he emits a small groan as the pounding of his head intensifies for the moment. slouches a bit so that he can press his face into brianna's shoulder, his body tucked against hers as close as possible in a (futile) attempt at borrowing some of her heat.

still, he has enough energy to look up when a nurse calls a name (thankfully not his or hers). closes his eyes again afterward, sighing quietly in relief. feels terrible, but the dread & fear of the woman behind the doctor's door is enough to make him cough out a few words. ]

I want to go home...

[ shakes her head and returns albert's smile with a tiny one of her own. reaches out to touch his cheek, closing her eyes. ]

[ leans into the touch, eyes half-lidded even as he gives her a look of concern & curiosity. ]

[ opens her eyes again, noticing his expression. shakes her head slightly in a silent answer, sliding her hand away from his face and to his blanket, tucking it more firmly around his body. ]

[ breathes out quietly & shivers a bit. ]

Of course, Albert. [ extends her arm, inviting him to join her. ] You never need to ask.

[ immediately starts to scoot closer to her, leaning against her body like he did in the wait room of Sheryl's office in an attempt to draw her heat. closes his eyes briefly when it seems to be working (even just a little), sighing. ]

You're warm.

[ stills at his words but does not speak, instead slowly slipping her arm around him to draw him closer & to give him more of the warmth he seeks. ]

[ snuggles closer, keeping his head down to hide his blush as he rests his head on her shoulder. ]

[ rests the side of her head on top of his own, shutting her eyes to enjoy the warmth that slowly starts to build between the two of them. ]

[ the warmth gradually forces him to also close his eyes, almost against his will. drifts off into a daze & soon a light slumber, breathing quietly in rhythm with hers. ]
