[ a lazy summer afternoon seemed like the perfect opportunity for alyssa to drag her best friend to the tv room in the mansion; it seemed like an even better idea to play new moon as their movie of choice, having missed the chance to see it in theaters because of final exams and graduation.

she keeps quiet, too enthralled in the thought that tony had actually agreed to sit down and watch it with her... up until they get fifteen minutes into the movie, that is. shifts slightly in her position against tony, a disgruntled look appearing on her face. ]

This movie is nothing like the book!

[ shakes her head, still looking rather happy. ]

I will accept it only if I work for it. [ lifts a fist. ] I'll earn it somehow!

[ nods, though he can't help but blink at her when he can't shake off the feeling of having given the wrong answer. ]

'Kay. But remember not all free things are bad things.

[ reaches over to brush some hair away from his face, only speaking when she goes back to messing around in the sand. ]

I know, but I would rather earn it if the prize is something you cherish the most.

[ turns back to his side of the sand, adds one more eye to complete the haro-shaped collection of sand & sits back. his next words comes out in a shy mumble, as if the words weren't meant to be heard. ]

. . . wouldn't offer to someone I didn't cherish as much.

[ pauses in her currently lumpy-looking sand creation, face breaking into both a shy smile and a tiny blush. looks down at her feet, wiggling them a bit in the sand as she stays quiet for a moment. reaches over to touch his hand lightly before curling her fingers around it and giving a tiny squeeze. ]

... I love you too, Anthony.

[ turns his head away toward the sea when he feels the touch, embarrassed up to the tips of his ears & unwilling to speak in fear of breaking a moment even he knows should be left unmarred. ]

[ doesn't do anything more than that for a minute or two, only being able to lean over to kiss his cheek when she feels like enough time passed them by.

settles back into her seat and nudges some more sand around, tongue sticking out the side of her mouth in concentration. when she finishes she smiles widely, saying "ta-da!" before presenting him with the image of two birds seated next to one another, a little heart drawn above them. ]

[ can't help but smile at her drawing when he twists back to look at it properly. gives her hand a returning squeeze & leans forward toward the drawing to contribute to the art by adding a small heart of his own. ]

[ tilts her head and observes the drawing for a moment, giving a fond smile down at it. ]

Now it's perfect.

[ withdraws his hand from hers so that he can take out his camera to take a picture. ]

And we can take it home.

[ scoots at little closer to him, wrapping her arms around one of his own. leans her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes, giving a tiny nod and sound of approval in reply. ]

[ watches the sea for what it feels to be a long moment before he finally makes up his mind to lean his head back against hers. & it takes another minute (or three) for him to gather the courage to turn his face to give her a light, gentle kiss to the top of her head -- so gentle that it may be missed -- after which he immediately buries his face into her hair. ]

[ blinks in surprise when she feels that kiss, shoulders tensing up from the unfamiliar feeling of being caught off-guard. slowly relaxes once the shift is made, her smile a touch bit wider and honestly childish than she is used to giving. instead of doing or saying anything she decides to silently bask in the moment, not being able to help herself from feeling some form of girlish glee over the events that had happened thus far.

silently hopes that it would continue on like this for the rest of the duration of their trip, though already knows that she will leave feeling satisfied and pleased no matter what, just as long as he continues to be at her side. ]
