[ gently reaches out to hug her when she's close enough to tug closer even further, the motion a little awkward with the bars between them. nudges at her hair with his nose, breathing out & voice quiet. ]

[ breath catches a bit in surprise, finding herself relaxing into his hold rather than stiffening up. smiles a bit, using her free arm to twist it between the bars so that she can return the hug lightly. ]
