[ hits send on the text message to alyssa -- that he's coming to visit for a short while -- before he starts up his scooter & steers himself in the direction of nathan's apartment. his backpack is holding only one thing, but it's precious enough of a bundle that he wears the backpack against his stomach. ignores the looks he's getting both on & off the street, parking tinkerbell in her usual corner spot. it's been almost two weeks since he's saw her (two weeks to recover), which is why he'd armed himself with a present in apology.

stands in front of the door to the stairs for a moment, wondering if he's feeling up to the physical exertion today-- then just changes direction to walk in the direction of the elevator. glances up at the ceiling of it when he's on board & pressed the proper number, feeling a little nervous for no reasons he could consciously finger. decides to shrug it off the best he can when he shuffles off it, rummaging around his backpack to take out the wrapped present before something (someone?) in front of a door catches his eye.

... stops. blinks. ]

. . . ? [ belatedly realizes that the boy is front of the door he needs to reach, making him pause, blink & speak: ] . . . Hi.

You'll get there. [ another pat, then moves that hand to give hiro's arm -- the one still wrapped around him -- a small tap. gestures to the food. ] Are you full?

[ blinks at the tap, removing the arm to step back a pace. looks over at his food, then back at anthony to give him a nod. ]

Okay. I'll clean this then.

[ points down the hall, toward where the bathroom is. ] You can go freshen up, if you want.

[ peers down that way curiously. types, holding up his phone with a curious look on his face. ]

「 Bath? 」

[ blinks down at. ]

「 Bath after food. Before bed. 」

[ scurries off in that direction quickly, poking his head into the door he thinks is correct. flips on the light before he goes in. ]

[ comes waddling back out, staring at anthony. walks towards him so that he can see the words on the cellphone: ]

「 Your bath looks funny. 」

[ had been gathering the bowls & utensils when hiro comes back. tilts his head down a tad to get a clearer look at the words. looks up toward the bathroom down the hall, back to the words, then finally at hiro. ]

. . . It does?

「 No rinse-off place. 」

[ takes anthony's hand to tug him towards the bathroom, knowing he needs to show rather than completely explain with words alone. ]

[ follows along to the bathroom, glancing into it when they reach it. flips on the light & looks inside -- a toilet, a sink & a bathtub to the side. turns his attention to hiro. ]

Rinse-off place?

[ lets him go to look around. scoots away from the door and towards the middle of the bathroom. squats down to point at the ground. types: ]

「 Drain. 」 [ points to the wall. ] 「 Wash down with that-- 」 [ points at the shower head that's located in the bathtub area. ] 「 --shower-thingie here. 」 [ gestures to the wall and ground again. ]

[ stands, crawling into the bathtub. lays limp in there, looking relaxed. ]

「 Soak in here. 」

[ wanders into the bathroom to peer down at him, struggling with comprehension. in the end, seems to manage in putting two & two together enough to comment. ]

It's different here in America. We do all the washing in-- [ points to the bathtub that hiro's lying in. ] --there.

[ just decides to stand, tugging on anthony's shirt. ]

「 Help. 」

[ blinks at him & then slowly begins to hook his hands under hiro's armpits to try to lift him out of the bathtub. ]
