[ double-checks that everything in the house is straightened and in its proper place, despite having cleaned everything earlier that morning. a few peeks up the stairs towards her brother's room is the only other movement she makes besides nudging things here and there, taking a seat on the edge of a chair when she realizes that it probably won't be very long now. is quite aware (was made aware) that her brother had tricked anthony into thinking they were going to meet at twelve instead of twelve-thirty, but still can't help but glance outside the front window every few minutes to make sure that she would be there when he arrived. ]

Oh, you know, just hangin' out. I know this awesome place by the college that opens up only at night. Promise it's fun!

[ laughs loudly, patting his back. ]

It's just a lounge, kid! Nobody's gonna get hurt, 'less they mess with one of my pals.

[ points at michael. ]

I'll come if he comes.

[ shares a long look with rachel, clearly not up for this despite the silent staring. takes a look at anthony before staring down at his cellphone again. ]

If I must.

[ shoots a fist up in the air. ]

SCORE! That's what I'm talkin' about!

[ stares. ]

What. You're. Serious. . . ?

[ takes that as being directed to her, now standing so that she can come up beside anthony's seat to wrap her arms around him, giving him a hug. ]

Yes, totally! We're friends now, right?

[ rod stiff. pats her on the back. squeaks out: ]

Best, uh. Best friends forever. Soccer team's biggest fan.

[ swallows the last bite of his taco, butting in: ]

I think I might invite myself along. That's okay, right?

Honey, you were invited the moment I had the idea.

[ swipes one of the fries, noming on that with a shrug. ]

Doesn't hurt to check. My mama brought me up well, y'know?

I wouldn't know! [ & then turns back to anthony, giving him a one-armed squeeze before standing up straight again. turns to michael. ] Anyway, I'm gonna take my burritos and dash. I'm TIRED. How does eight sound?

[ takes a small glance at anthony before nodding at her. ]

I believe it is an acceptable time.

Whatever my secretary says, I guess.

Cool beans.

[ reaches over to ruffle michael's hair roughly again while scooping up her burritos with her free hand. gestures a farewell to jeremy, winks and blows a kiss to anthony, then turns and wanders away. ]

[ stiffens a minute after she leaves, looking scared. ]

Oh shit! She still has my camera! Oh shit, oh shit-- [ gathers up his things, slinging his backpack over his shoulder quickly. waves at michael & anthony. ]

Uh, it was nice meeting you, see you again later tonight! [ spins on his heels, running across the mall while yelling: ] RACHEL!

[ just. stares. then, belatedly, when jeremy is lost in the crowd of bodies: ]

Run, Forrest, run.

[ lifts a hand to smooth out his hair as anthony speaks, only looking away from his cellphone when he feels it is necessary to. ]

Are you certain that you wish to join us tonight?

I'm never certain about anything. [ pause. ] Is she the grudge-holding type?

It highly depends on her mood. [ pockets his phone. ] However, it is your decision whether or not to go, in the end.

[ stares down at the tabletop with a great degree of concentration. looks up & shrugs. ]

You're still coming with.

[ hums out a small sound of agreement. ]

Are you finished with your meal?

[ dusts off his hands for show. ]

There's enough grease rolling around in my stomach for now, yeah.

Very well. [ stands, grabbing for his tray and the empty water bottle. ] Your next stop?
