[ double-checks that everything in the house is straightened and in its proper place, despite having cleaned everything earlier that morning. a few peeks up the stairs towards her brother's room is the only other movement she makes besides nudging things here and there, taking a seat on the edge of a chair when she realizes that it probably won't be very long now. is quite aware (was made aware) that her brother had tricked anthony into thinking they were going to meet at twelve instead of twelve-thirty, but still can't help but glance outside the front window every few minutes to make sure that she would be there when he arrived. ]

[ stays put for a moment. then stumbles back onto his feet while groping around for his keys. finds them a minute or two later & hands them over. ]

Be good to her.

[ nods, taking the keys before making a move to stand as well. looks at rachel. ]

We will be taking our leave, then.

Sure, but not before me. [ ruffles michael's hair roughly, turning to speak before leaving: ] See ya later, cap-i-tan.

I think I'm going to stick around for a while. [ gives them all a wave. ] You guys take care in getting back, yeah? Don't get into any accidents that I won't be around to see!

We'll be good.

[ points in a random direction for michael. ] This way!

[ manages to steer anthony in the right direction, giving a short nod to jeremy before leading him and his companion out of the lounge. ]

[ goes along more obediently than he would have if he'd been sober, only swaying a little bit. seems to jerk into focus when they're outside, at least enough for him to point at his scooter. ]

There. Tinkerbell! [ starts running at it, arms flailing in the wind. ]

[ follows along quietly, briefly thinking about his car and how they should probably take that instead. looks down at the keys in his hands, back up at anthony. pauses in those thoughts (a plan was already forming, no need to think more on it) to instead pick up the helmet when he's in range, handing it to anthony. ]

[ puts on the helmet & gives the seat a fond pat. ]

Driver needs to get on first.

I am perfectly aware of that. I was simply confirming your safety before that.

[ & then he dutifully takes a seat. ]

[ settles into the space behind the other, cheek resting against the back of michael's neck & head. ]

See. Nice.

[ goes to the appropriate key on the keyring when he's satisfied with their position, turning the scooter on. putt putt... putt... --tries again, eventually able to have the thing go at a steady putt putt putt instead of giving out. tries to glance at anthony. ]

Are you situated properly?

[ wraps his arms around michael's middle & nods, just barely avoiding being dead weight against the other. ]

Good to go, cap-i-tan.

[ & with that he pulls them onto the road with ease, eyes glancing down at the scooter every now and then to make sure that he's driving the thing right. comfortable with the scooter, he keeps to his silence while they steadily make their way towards anthony's apartment, just hoping in the back of his mind that the boy won't somehow fall off along the way. ]
