[ the streets had been pretty bare after a little traffic on the way to anthony's apartment, making due with the time they had when stopping to glance down at the arms around his waist. double-checking never hurt, considering the circumstances. as per usual he has his moments of thought over the events that had taken place throughout the day. said thoughts eventually traveled into their adventure at the lounge, concluding that it was most likely the alcohol speaking for anthony and nothing more than that; it was an acceptable self-hypothesis.

without any chatter involved (he was half-expecting puff, woo to happen any second, after all) he makes his way down the last few streets in complete silence, already quite aware of their exact destination. ]

Oh. I go through these stages, see? Happy, sad, stupid. Oh, and menopause. [ long pause. ] Cancel the last one.

「 Menopause? 」

Yeah. It happens to old people.

「 Does it hurt? 」

I heard it could be torturous.

[ thinks about this for a while, and then: ]

「 I'm glad that I'm not old. 」

[ pets his hair soothingly. ]

You'll be my little brother forever. I won't let menopause get you!

[ perks up and nods furiously, looking as happy as he can get. ]

「 Onii-chan is my hero. 」

[ raises an arm into the air. ]

I'll be a great hero, you'll see!

[ also raises an arm, settling back into anthony's warmth while snuggling in. after a moment: ]

「 I'm sleepy. 」 [ takes him a while to type his next words: ] 「 Will you sleep with me? 」

[ holds him close(r) after he reads the words, snuffling his nose against hiro's hair contently. ]

Yeah. I'll stay.

[ nudges him with the side of his face gently, eyes closing as he tucks his head under anthony's chin. curls up, phone lightly clutched into his hand as he swiftly and contently succumbs to sleep once more. ]

[ closes his eyes fully once more as he evens out his breathing. but sleep doesn't come, not immediately, & he finds that he has to fight to keep his laughter quiet when he remembers the day in full instead. the alcohol dulling his ~~derp~~ usual thought-process, he leans into the mattress comfortably (dead weight again), a soft smile coming to his lips. he doesn't think once about the things (people) that he's been weighed down for the past months (a year now?), focusing on the small joys in life as he used to.

snuggling even closer, he presses a light kiss to the top of hiro's head, murmuring a small thank you in broken japanese. wishes his cap-i-tan, anne, rachel & jeremy a good night in his head as well. & this time, whenhe breathes in once, twice, he too falls quickly asleep. ]
