[ the streets had been pretty bare after a little traffic on the way to anthony's apartment, making due with the time they had when stopping to glance down at the arms around his waist. double-checking never hurt, considering the circumstances. as per usual he has his moments of thought over the events that had taken place throughout the day. said thoughts eventually traveled into their adventure at the lounge, concluding that it was most likely the alcohol speaking for anthony and nothing more than that; it was an acceptable self-hypothesis.

without any chatter involved (he was half-expecting puff, woo to happen any second, after all) he makes his way down the last few streets in complete silence, already quite aware of their exact destination. ]

[ keeps on munching in silence until his plate is clean, speaking only when he is finished: ]

My thanks for the meal, it was quite enjoyable. [ to anthony: ] Perhaps I should take my leave so that you may rest. I will visit at a later time if it is needed.

[ looks up, a bit startled. ]

I. . . yeah. Come over whenever. If you want. [ a short pause. ] Thanks again. For coming.

[ nods, standing. looks over at the youngest of the three. ]

It was nice meeting you properly, Hiro.

[ straightens, perking up. ]

「 It was nice meeting you too. 」 [ a pause to type: ] 「 I'll take good care of onii-chan. 」

Mm, see to it that you do. [ gestures towards the room as he says, to anthony: ] Do remember to eat Anne's food. I am certain she will inquire about it at a later time.

[ nods. ]

I'll share it with Hiro later. Tell her thanks for me too?

Of course.

[ & after a small inclination of his head to them both he turns to leave out the front door. ]

[ gets up from his seat to show him out, as well as to lock the door behind michael. ]

[ steps outside the apartment, speaking after he turns to briefly face anthony. ]

I will not grace you with a proper reply to that, but good afternoon to you as well.

. . . You can only joke in intervals?

Jokes become mundane and ordinary if they are said one too many times.

I was only trying to reaffirm our connection.

If you must reaffirm a connection, then it is not a very strong one to begin with.

Don't hate. It's just new.

Then I suppose we will wait and see how it progresses with time, Watson.

[ can't help the smile. ]

[ lets that be his parting words, turning to walk down the hallway of the building and out of sight. ]

[ closes the door & locks it before wandering back to the table where hiro is sitting. rubs at his temples as he sits down. ]

Just you and me again, little brother.

[ perks up when he's in sight again, tilting his head a little at anthony when he notices the temple rubbing. ]

「 Does onii-chan want to sleep more? 」

[ rubs an eye too. ]

Maybe. But after the food's digested.

[ shifts in his seat so that he can properly lift his free hand to pat anthony's stomach a little. ]

[ wiggles a bit, ticklish. but looks amused otherwise. ]

That doesn't help. I tried.

[ jumps slightly at his wiggling. works his brain, thinking. ]

「 Water? Tea? 」

[ quirks another smile, reaching up to ruffle his hair gently. ]

Let's just have fun. Then natural'll do the rest.

[ brightens again. ]

「 Fun. Okay. What do you want to do, onii-chan? 」
