[ her daily routine started off as it usually did: crawling out of bed and plopping on the floor, letting out a little oof! at the impact. picking herself up, she makes her way to her bathroom in a hurry to do her business, throwing her hands up in the air when she scurries out into her room in a victory! fashion. after that she throws open her closet and drawers, rummaging around to pick out an outfit for the day.

pulls her shirt over her head, snaps her jumper on, then picks up her pajamas to set them on her bed neatly; her personal (ninja) maid would surely put it into the wash for her. fistpumps once, quickly crawling onto her bed to pet ~~her fat kitty~~ catbert, telling him to be good while she goes to find daddy before zipping out of the room at top-speed.

says a quick HI, BYE! to one of the maids along the way, zooming and rolling around to peer into every corner to find albert. stands up from peeking underneath a bed to tap her chin, going AH-HAH! when a thought strikes her; the study was her final destination. and when she gets there and sees her daddy she snickers, quietly crawling on the ground slowly so that he wouldn't notice her right away. peeks up over the table, beaming when she sees a plate of cheese there. shifty-eyes to albert, reaching a hand out to nab a few pieces and plop onto the ground.

& that's the pattern she'll have for a while, continuing on ~~stealing~~ nomming down the cheese as quietly as possible, her previous mission long forgotten in the face of a cheesy-delicious breakfast. ]

[ points at the big yellow thing next to her elmo and cookie monster doodle. it could probably pass as a giant bird. maybe. ]

Big Bird!

[ peers down at it, studying it for a long moment before the corner of his lips kick up. ]

Hm. I think I may like him.

[ peeks up at him, whispering lowly: ]

I think he likes you too, daddy.

Oh? And how did I earn such affections?

Because you're a nice guy.

That's the single criterion?

[ speaks a little distractedly, beginning to draw the prince. ]

Well... you're also my daddy. I think if Big Bird likes me then he would like you too. You're also kind... and nice... and big and strong...

[ kisses the top of her head yet again. ]

You speak so highly of me.

[ reaches a hand up to tickle the tip of his nose with her crayon. ]

It's because you're daddy!

No, it's because I'm this little princess' daddy.

Who will love me forever and ever.

[ ... vaguely remembers that from her movies. the safe answer is: ]

Yes.

[ as usual she is blissfully unaware of this, humming and tilting her head back and forth as she doodles some more. after adding some trees, rainbows, birds and a smiling sun, she puts down her crayon and exclaims: ]

Done! [ turns her head to look at albert. ] Daddy, look, look!

[ leans forward a bit to look at the picture. raises an eyebrow at the winged fish in amusement, but otherwise chuckles. ]

I think we may need to frame this.

[ expression brightens even more. ]

Really? [ doesn't wait for a reply, too busy throwing her hands up in the air with a YAAAY! before picking the sketchbook up. ] Daddy, can I go show mommy?

[ adjusts his hold on her before pushing himself to his feet. ]

Of course. I think we should both visit her.

[ nods happily up at albert. leans her head against him, staring at the drawing she did. it only takes a moment or two for her to begin singing lightly: ]

Mommy is the prettiest~ I love her~

[ starts walking out of the study, heading for the stairs. ]

Just as I do you both.

[ & she dutifully changes the lyrics after hearing his words. ]

Daddy loves us both~ He is the handsomest~

[ nudges his face against her face. ]

And my little princess is quite the charmer.

[ rubs her nose into his cheek, giggling. ]

Charm, charm~ I've got charm~!
