[ her daily routine started off as it usually did: crawling out of bed and plopping on the floor, letting out a little oof! at the impact. picking herself up, she makes her way to her bathroom in a hurry to do her business, throwing her hands up in the air when she scurries out into her room in a victory! fashion. after that she throws open her closet and drawers, rummaging around to pick out an outfit for the day.

pulls her shirt over her head, snaps her jumper on, then picks up her pajamas to set them on her bed neatly; her personal (ninja) maid would surely put it into the wash for her. fistpumps once, quickly crawling onto her bed to pet ~~her fat kitty~~ catbert, telling him to be good while she goes to find daddy before zipping out of the room at top-speed.

says a quick HI, BYE! to one of the maids along the way, zooming and rolling around to peer into every corner to find albert. stands up from peeking underneath a bed to tap her chin, going AH-HAH! when a thought strikes her; the study was her final destination. and when she gets there and sees her daddy she snickers, quietly crawling on the ground slowly so that he wouldn't notice her right away. peeks up over the table, beaming when she sees a plate of cheese there. shifty-eyes to albert, reaching a hand out to nab a few pieces and plop onto the ground.

& that's the pattern she'll have for a while, continuing on ~~stealing~~ nomming down the cheese as quietly as possible, her previous mission long forgotten in the face of a cheesy-delicious breakfast. ]

[ nods and follows along, craning her neck up a bit to look at the sky as she thinks. ]

Well... now I love you more than the color pink. And stuffed animals. Oh, and ice cream!

[ eyebrows shooting up: ]

More than ice cream? Then you would not mind going without?

[ thinks. flusters a little. ]

Um... yes, but ice cream would be nice too, daddy...

[ chuckles. ]

Worry not, little princess. Ice cream is on the schedule today.

[ sighs lightly in relief. then puffs up a little, rubbing her face into his shoulder, as if reprimanding him. ]

For shame. You should know better, daddy. I'm a delicate high schooler now!

[ shakes his head a little, still smiling. ]

Ah, my apologies. Bad habits and preferences.

[ gives him a soft headbutt in the arm, ending it with that. smiles again when the ice cream shop comes into view, stepping in with albert before glancing at the choices. ]

Hmm... what are you going to get?

[ shakes his head. ]

Nothing for me, little princess. The day is for you.

Okey dokey, I'll let you have a bite of mine. [ resumes glancing at the menu, pointing. ] Strawberry ice cream with a rainbow sprinkle waffle cone, please!

[ pays for it (with his credit card, of course) when her order's taken & met. handing the ice cream over to her, he then leads them to their usual table in the corner. eyes the treat. ]

As good as you remember it, I hope.

[ only starts to nom it down when they take a seat, nodding happily to albert when she's swallowed. ]

Very, very good! Thank you, daddy!

[ leans back into his seat. ]

You're very welcome, little princess.

[ keeps on munching happily, swinging her feet around a little. talks absently: ]

We're having a Homecoming dance in a few months. I wonder if I have to bring a date...

I assume it to be a choice, not a requirement.

Really? [ pauses. smiles. ] Daddy, will you be my date?

[ reaches over to take her free hand to plant a quick kiss to the back of it. ]

It would be my honour.

[ giggles happily at that, though she doesn't remove her hand, too comfortable with the contact. ]

Can we go shopping sometime to get matching outfits~?

[ lets their hands rest on the table while he shifts his hold so that it's more comfortable. ]

Ah. That, sweetheart, is a requirement.

Then what color should we wear? Red? White?

I am partial to red.

I knew you would be~ [ takes a bite out of her ice cream, thinking. swallows. ] Or maybe we should do pink?

I will not look very dashing, should we go pink.

But you look dashing in everything you wear.

There is a reason why I steer clear of certain colours, little priness.

Well, you do look your best in red or black. [ noms on her ice cream, thinking. ] Would I be able to pull off those colors, I wonder...
