[ having decided that meeting anthony half-way would be best for this particular... conversation, he walks a bit slowly, quite aware that his dorm was closer to the school than his friend-slash-goalie's house. (that and he would probably have to struggle with his mode of transportation for a while.) so instead of the usual ten minutes it takes him to arrive to this particular destination, he gives himself thirty, casually making his way to one of the benches underneath a tree.

takes a seat, pulls out his cellphone, then begins to check his messages as he waits; it would be at least another fifteen minute wait, one he was finally willing to be patient for. after all, he wasn't expecting much, anyway. when it came to feelings, expectations were the worst things to have, or so he had logically deducted throughout his childhood. besides, it wouldn't be the end of the world if anything negative happened. this was anthony, after all, the boy who clucked and bawked louder than he spoke or made any semblance of sense with his words.

... it almost made him second-guess himself. almost.

pockets his phone and tilts his head backwards instead, letting it rest against the top of the bench. just simply stares up into the branches and leaves of the tree, allowing himself to show a rare display of being lost in some non-thoughts for the time being. ]

I have tried it prior to our relationship. [ straightens a bit, deciding to go back to the original topic at hand: ] When I am studying, yes, classical is preferred. Otherwise instrumental or jazz, if only for the fact that it is what my parents have always listened to.

[ sighs in relief. ]

And what of your tastes in music? Are you particularly fond of anything in specific?

[ shakes his head. ]

Not really. Other than the stuff you already heard me hum.

Perhaps I should lend you a selection of my CDs, then. You might enjoy some of them.

[ nods. ]

That sounds adequate enough. You will receive them the next time we meet.

I'll treat them gently.

See to it that you do. [ spots a trashcan, moving them slightly so he can toss his cup in the trash. back to anthony: ] What is your schedule like for next week?

Mostly just work. I'm gonna get my schedule on Monday. [ short pause. ] And practice.

[ gives himself a moment to think over his own schedule. ]

Would you like to come over after practice on Wednesday, then?

[ perks up visibly, but pretends to be thinking about it anyway. ]

Can we watch a Disney movie then?

That would be preferable. You may bring over a few, if you plan on staying long enough.

What kinda stories do you like?

I do not have any preferences. Choose something you enjoy the most.

That's bad advertising. I'm already their minion.

Disney is versatile. Tell me your favourite and they will deliver.

Or we could watch a documentary on soccer, if you are so keen on being difficult.
