[ fidgeting, way too dressed up for his own good. tugging at his tie, shifting his weight back & forth between his feet. looks about as unhappy as he can get. ]

[ nods & waits a few moments before he finally moves, hooking his arm around nathan's. starts leading them both towards the center of the room, weaving around the outer layer of the bustle surrounding the dance floor.

gives nathan a grin when a new song comes on. ]

If you don't come back home tonight? Don't worry, I'll know what to tell sis.

[ & with that, steps back to shove nathan forward, right into the crowd of dancing bodies. ]

[ doesn't even bother to hold himself back when he shrieks, flailing and knocking into a couple or two the moment he's shoved inside the crowd.

lets out a few "ER, SORRY"s when he steps on some feet and bumps into several people. tries helplessly to get out of the mess he's in, but somehow he's ended up in the middle of the dancing despite his efforts. ]

[ stomps his foot and curses damon to the lowest level of hell. knows he can't hear him but he's still looking ticked off nonetheless, maybe a little lost, too. ]

[ is actually prowling the boundaries of the dance floor, simply following the damage and the noise. feels bad for a split second before amusement overtakes it, making him snicker instead. decides to call out: ]

Go get 'em, midget!

[ whirls when he hears his voice. can't see over most of the people (he curses his height in his mind... or perhaps the people for being too tall) so he jumps to yell at damon. ]

GO--[ jump. ]--GET--[ jump. ]--WHAT?

[ yells above the music, ignoring the both the stares & the people he runs into as he tries to keep up with nathan's projectory. ]

THE BABES, DAMN IT! STOP BEING THICK!

[ laughs, but manages to hide that in the growing commotion that they are causing & clears his throat before he bellows again. ]

[ keeps hopping like an energizer bunny, not even thinking about trying to find his way out now. ]

I DON'T WANNA! GIRLS AREN'T MY THING, I--OW! [ gets shoved by an old lady, the woman glaring at him. glares at her back. ] WHAT!? I'm lost! Go away!

[ looks horrified when the grandma lifts her purse and hits him over the head, holding his arms up like he's going to get the shit beaten out of him if he doesn't reason with her. ]

[ big brother senses tingling -- sighs, scratching at the back of his head as he pushes & shoves into the crowd at the first sound of distress. makes his way through the bodies & begins to smile when he spots the familiar shade of hair -- ]

[ -- & suddenly finds himself too pained with laughter to move into nathan's rescue. ]

[ has obviously caused a big scene at this time, people pausing in their dancing to watch him vs the old woman. doesn't look like nathan is winning.

looks up and makes a sound of distress, silently raging at damon laughing but he's there nonetheless; the rage overrides the relief, however. ]

[ thankfully the lady stops and turns her nose up in the air, giving him one more good WHAP before walking away. gives a pathetic look, rubbing his head. ]

[ stifles a few more laughs before he makes his way forward, a hand rising to land gently on nathan's head. keeps it shielded behind his chest as he starts leading them out of the spotlight. ]

[ goes along without any complaint, glad to get away from the staring and crazy women. grumbles, kicking the back of damon's ankle lightly in a sort-of nudge of retaliation. ]

I JUST GOT BEATEN UP BY AN OLD LADY-! How is that entertaining?!

[ pauses. ducks his head slightly, mumbling underneath his breath. ]

[ laughs, a little more softly than when he was laughing at nathan's predicament, grip loosening once they arrive at a calmer corner but not pushing him away, letting the kid choose whether or not he wants to move away immediately or not. ]

[ and he doesn't move, too content in the somewhat touching (for once) at the moment. shifts a bit, though. decides to say something more serious this time, the thought briefly passing his mind once before. ]

Do you want someone else? Y'know, another girlfriend?

[ isn't moving either, finding it just fine the way they are. blinks at the question though, having been caught off guard. smile widens a little despite looking a little strained, raising an eyebrow as he looks down at nathan. ]

No interest in girls but curious 'bout my love life, huh?
