[ circles around to face her boys when they get inside of the park, taking out her handy dandy map to look over it. doesn't take too long in deciding what to do first; hands go on her hips, giving them a look as if she's leading an army going to war, though the smile on her face adds something more pleasant onto the double-meaning. ]

So I was thinking that we should split up first and meet up for lunch later. It's pretty crowded today. Going in twos is the best option, since we don't want to lose any short people.

[ lifts his head toward the ongoing parade as well. gives nathan a pointed stare then sets off into a slower pace toward the gathering crowd & the noise. ]

[ blinks in surprise, following after him without speaking. once again tilts his head to get a good look down the pathway where the parade is apparently starting at. ]

[ manages to get a portion of the crowd to part for him so that he gets front-row view of the parade. beckons nathan over, keeping the space next to him open & reasonably easy to slip into. looks back into the parade in the meanwhile; though not entirely impressed, amusement is present, along with a sense of nostalgia. ]

[ there's no way to be certain if he's impressed and/or amused, the look on his face showing that he's too concentrated to think about much else at the moment. but he looks as if he's entertained, at least, no whining and complaining coming from his end anytime soon. ]

[ he waits it out even when his interest is lost after the first few minutes, easily humouring his patience as he listens in on the conversations surrounding him. manages to chat up a particularly giddy teenager to his right, smiling & nodding at her opinions pertaining to the various rides of Disneyland. thanks her when the parade comes to an end, turning back to nathan, default smile back in place though he seems a little tired -- almost as if he just woke up. ]

Have you heard of Space Mountain?

[ was completely & 100% into it, his lips not moving once upward but it's clear that it had his attention. might've smacked albert in the chest a few times within loud "SHH!"s, but past that he doesn't recall much else except for the parade. he turns around soon enough and stares up at albert with a perplexed look on his face at the sudden topic change. ]

Spacey whoozey-whatty?

[ repeats it dutifully: ]

Space Mountain.

Uh. No? What is it, some kind of food?

No, I believe it is a ride.

[ looks at him skeptically. ]

... what kind of ride.

[ tilts his head. ]

I'd like to find out.

[ scratches his head, thinking about it. ]

... alright, guess we could do that.

[ takes out the map again, looking up once in a while to look for landmarks. finally seems satisfied after a minute of inspection, putting it away. glances back at nathan, then nods toward the forward path on his right. ]

Shall we?

[ nods in reply, taking a glance at his cellphone in passing as they walk, pleased to know that nobody is bothering him for the day. protested a lot on this trip, so he tries to privately remind himself that it happens only once a year. ]

[ keeping his pace at a reasonably relaxed pace, not too fast but not slow. seems to be back in his element despite being surrounded by Disney rides, mascots & fans, drawing eyes as he passes them by toward a ride his informant had only described as "so very cool."

makes it a point to look back every once in a while when he spots a bit of a crowd approaching them, feeling his mind to be too clear to physically attach himself to nathan. ]

[ as they slowly approach the ride nathan squints his eyes, reading the wait time with growing interest. it's not until they get right up to the end of the line that he says: ]

Holy CRAP that line is long. 90 minutes? Really?

[ doesn't look entirely pleased either, already working out a possible way to quicken the wait-time for the two of them. eyes flicker from right to left until he spots the fast pass box. watches the other people work it as he approaches so that he knows what to do by the time his turn comes around. gets two tickets, comes back to where nathan is standing & hands one of them over. ]

[ blinks down at it. slowly takes it, observing it some more. ]

Uh. What is this?

Something to help with the wait time. [ pauses, inspecting the pass. ] Or so it seems.

[ inspects it some more as well. ]

Huh. Guess we come back between these two times, then?

That would also be my guess, yes.

Okay. [ slips it into his pocket, putting both his hands into them after. ] So what do we do until then?

[ also puts his ticket away & pulls out the map again. opens it & then hands it over. ]

Anything catch your eye?

[ takes it, looking it over. frowns because he's not really sure if any of it would catch his interest... up until he notices something that makes him quickly fold the map and start in another direction, not even looking back at albert, too distracted in finding his destination. ]

[ raises an eyebrow, but smiles a little as he follows, eyes going briefly to the clock near Space Mountain as he figures out about how much free time they had until they had to return for their ride. ]
