[ circles around to face her boys when they get inside of the park, taking out her handy dandy map to look over it. doesn't take too long in deciding what to do first; hands go on her hips, giving them a look as if she's leading an army going to war, though the smile on her face adds something more pleasant onto the double-meaning. ]

So I was thinking that we should split up first and meet up for lunch later. It's pretty crowded today. Going in twos is the best option, since we don't want to lose any short people.

[ doesn't bother answering as the ride lurches forward right afterward. his excitement lasts as long as they get to the snake, but by the time they reach the end (& the pathetic dip at the end), he can only lean back & shake his head, torn in his judgment of the ride. ]

[ actually looks kind of pleased for once, though whether or not it's because he didn't scream his head off like a little girl is yet to be decided. sighs heavily & unlocks his seat belt anyway, stepping out to put his hands on his hips. ]

[ gets to his feet too, stretching out the kinks as he starts walking out. ]

[ seems to be deaf in his disappointment, so much that as soon as they're outside, he turns to point at the steepest (& fastest) looking roller coaster within their vicinity. ]

Next target! We're way behind in adrenaline!

[ when he glances at where he's pointing he suddenly feels a bit dizzy, turning his eyes away and back at damon to yell at him. ]

W-WHAT? No! You go on the stupid roller coaster yourself!

[ looks about ready to argue, but after giving that ride another glance, sighs, tsking in disappointment. ]

Yeah, still ain't fast enough. But California Adventure tomorrow? Won't let us down.

'kay, what now? Still got time to kill before fireworks.

[ thinks about it & then shrugs, this time leading the way. takes out the map and looks over it, scanning the paper before shoving it into his pocket. it is then that they hop from one place to the next, making them take their sweet time in picking out everything that he thinks they'll need when watching the fireworks.

one more bathroom break later & they're finally seated on one of the benches in front of the castle, feeling distinctly proud for being able to nab it before anyone else did. throws what he has in his arms between them on the bench. ]

AWESOME! Now all we gotta do is wait some more.

[ plops down next to him & sags against the wood, head craned up to the quickly dimming sky for the spectacle to come while munching on the churro they picked up on the way. ]

[ isn't as nearly as discreet, merely tilting his head in nathan's direction to glance at him. ]

[ lifts his head to look at him again, almost seeming as if he's about to smile before he cocks his head in another direction. ]
