[ sneezes & sighs, shivering as he emits a small groan as the pounding of his head intensifies for the moment. slouches a bit so that he can press his face into brianna's shoulder, his body tucked against hers as close as possible in a (futile) attempt at borrowing some of her heat.

still, he has enough energy to look up when a nurse calls a name (thankfully not his or hers). closes his eyes again afterward, sighing quietly in relief. feels terrible, but the dread & fear of the woman behind the doctor's door is enough to make him cough out a few words. ]

I want to go home...

[ shifts her body a bit so that she could properly lay on her stomach, spreading out the crayons where both of them could reach them. looks over at albert, waiting. ]

[ picks out a dark blue from the pile of crayons to start on the prince, once in a switching with some yellow to outline the fancy clothing. ]

[ trails her finger across the colors, plucking a yellow crayon as well to start on the princess' hair, humming a bit to herself as she scribbles carefully. ]

[ stares at the hair colour for a moment, head tilting slightly as he tries to figure out why yellow feels wrong. shakes off the feeling, however, going back to his side of the drawing, soon abandoning the prince to work on the dragon. ]

[ finishes up the princess with a pink crayon, pressing the edge of it to the side of her lip as if she's thinking on the color choice. nods to herself after a moment of thought, satisfied. ]

[ is struggling with the dragon's horns at the moment, staring down at the brown & the silvery gray in his hand. makes little considering noises, pressing the crayon against the body of the dragon to see which one matches better. ]

[ watches him decide as she kicks her feet a little bit in the air. rolls over onto her back while keeping her eyes on him, lifting a hand to touch his free one & toying with the fingers there, half-paying attention to her own actions. ]

[ looks down at her hand, slowly extending his toward her so that she has better access, attention split between finishing the dragon & the warmth of her fingers. ]

[ her eyes flicker to the coloring book briefly, tracing his fingers with the tips of her own. ]

Stuck?

Mm... [ holds up the two colours. ] Which do you like better?

[ tilts her head in thought. points to the brown crayon with her unoccupied hand. ]

[ short nod & he's off finishing up the horns, leaning back a bit to appreciate the finished picture. smiles a bit. ]

[ turns her head to the side to look at the picture from where she's at, finding her own lips curving up a half an inch. ]

I like it.

Me too.

[ nods in acknowledgment & props herself up half-way, brushing the paper with a few of her fingers in thought. ]

[ watches curiously, not speaking in fear of disrupting her. ]

[ shakes her head after a moment & turns back to him. ]

How are you feeling, Albert?

[ startles a bit. ]

Oh. Um. I'm okay.

[ sits up fully. ]

Do you want to rest for a bit?

[ follows the movement & then slowly nods, as if a little guilty. reaches for a blanket to wrap around himself, grabbing another to offer it to her. ]

[ takes it and looks down at it, blinking. puts it over her legs instead of wrapping it around herself & smooths it out. ]

[ snuggles into the blanket some more. peering at her curiously. ]

You're not cold?

[ slowly shakes her head, placing her hands on top of her lap neatly. ]

Oh. Just me then...

[ doesn't speak or move for a while, thinking over his words. finally slips her blanket off of her lap, curling it around her shoulders. ]

... but I like feeling warm, I suppose. It's... nice.
