[ slowly makes his way up the stairs to anthony's apartment, opting to forgo the use of the elevator in favor of giving himself some time to think things over again. he had mulled over this situation countless times before, going over everything in such a meticulous way that he knew the circumstances of their re-meeting all too well. this is why he lagged even when getting this far, knowing that they had to talk about it sooner or later.

he'd rather anthony know that he hadn't abandoned or forgotten him than having an uncomfortable encounter. that was one thing he himself already knew (and felt the effects of) all too well. he refused to subject someone else to it.

eventually approaches the right apartment number in question, simply standing there to observe the door itself. quirks a small smile in appreciation of the sudden bout of nostalgia that overtakes him, though the expression soon becomes subdued in favor of remembering why he was in this situation in the first place. lifts his hand slowly to knock on the door three times.
