[ sitting on his scooter out in the parking lot of the building that he knows is alyssa's last class of the day, elbows braced against the handles as he waits. only checks the clock of his cellphone once when the stream of people appear, signaling the end of the hour. thinks about texting her, but manages to refrain, quietly waiting for a certain princess to appear. ]

[ peers down at it. looks at anthony. looks back again. a long pause before: ]

[ shakes his head & starts unrolling his with exaggerated motions. ]

[ "ooooo"s and "aaaah"s as she sits down again, leaning in towards anthony to stare at the rice paper in his hands. ]

[ reaches for some rice when the waitress brings a tub of it with their waters, tucking them into the rice paper with little grace. also adds a generous amount of soy sauce. ]

[ watches closely, eyes following it even when he pops it in his mouth. sits back up again and claps a little bit. ]

[ looks at it sadly, then begins to try and rip it into a star-shape. fumbles around with it, messily putting some rice into it. ]

[ lightbulb. looks like he's not about to comply when he brings up his hands to cup at his own cheeks to cutely (monotonously) say: ]

[ beams at him, bouncing a little bit in her seat. pours some soy sauce on it, picks it up, then makes a little ah~hn~ sound like he did moments before and then-- nom. ]

[ just looks extremely happy at the positive attention, now trying to rip the remaining rice paper into a heart-shape, fueled by anthony's clapping. ]

[ starts to get to work on his own, cutting up his own portions into squares & rectangles. ]

Verdict?

[ makes sure the heart looks nice enough, wrapping it up and over the rice slowly, a nicer-looking creation than her first one. picks it up carefully and puts it on anthony's place. ]
