[ sitting on his scooter out in the parking lot of the building that he knows is alyssa's last class of the day, elbows braced against the handles as he waits. only checks the clock of his cellphone once when the stream of people appear, signaling the end of the hour. thinks about texting her, but manages to refrain, quietly waiting for a certain princess to appear. ]

[ settles down on the ground right in front of the bars with a small nod. ]

[ follows her exit & waits for a moment to make sure that she's not coming back immediately. then looks down at his cut hand to flex it a bit, examining the damage.

... just blows on the cuts a little while mumbling quietly. ]

Break out the gloves for work, Anthony. Boss'll fret too.

[ it takes her a while to locate what she needs as well as pausing to have a small conversation with the officer who helped her. says her thanks, enters the doors again, then plants herself in front of anthony. ]

You know, they're actually very nice people. [ opens the box in her lap. ] I don't think you'll be in here for much longer.

[ counts up to four seconds in his head before slowly extending his hand toward her again. ]

[ beams when she sees that hand moving, reaching out to take it gently. brings the cotton swab down to begin her work. ]

So when is your dad going to come in?

[ winces a bit, almost drawing his hand back instinctively. ]

Dunno. He was in Jamaica last night.

[ shifts her hand up to his wrist, holding him there firmly. ]

Really? Do you want me to call him for you?

[ ... tugs experimentally, but shakes his head. ]

[ smiles a bit at that, still holding on firm as she continues her work. ]

[ & then her shoulders slowly slump a bit as well as the nursing coming to a pause. feels conflicted, but in the end she pushes it away for the time being. ]

[ reaches over with his other hand when he notices that look. hesitates briefly. ]

[ doesn't answer as her expression turns into something akin to confusion, almost as if she isn't sure herself. in the end she gazes down at his hand again and goes back to work in silence. ]

[ brows furrow as she half-misses his comment, attempting to focus all of her attention on his hand. finally finishes when she wraps it up, tight but not tight enough to restrict the flow of blood. inhales, exhales. sits up straight to look down at her work. nods a bit after deciding that it looks fine enough. ]
