[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ mirrors her twin into burying herself into alyssa's embrace, one hand automatically reaching for elias' to link them together while they each wrap their free arms around alyssa. ]

[ glances briefly at the state of the twins before he bends down & reaches out with a hand to gently pat at tony's head. ]

. . . Life's still worth living. Come back, Tony.

[ sits back up after a few more minutes of wallowing in self-pity. rubs his head and tries to fix his hair, groaning a bit. ]

We should abort this mission and go somewhere else.

[ draws his hand back & shrugs, looking a little helpless as he says one name: ]

[ glances over at her (and the twins). looks back at anthony. ]

Speaking of, when'd she cut off all her hair? I didn't think she'd ever do that.

[ pauses just briefly to breathe out through his nose, not daring to even let his expression fall. ]

Start of the semester. She. . . wanted a change.

[ feels like his response is a little off despite no shift of emotions on anthony's face, but decides not to push it to instead push himself off the ground and back up again. ]

And what about you? Doesn't look like you cut off your mop any.

[ releases that hand and grabs one of anthony's instead. tugs at it a little bit. ]

[ face warms a little bit, but grasps back as he goes along with the tug. glances back at alyssa & the twins. ]

[ reaches up to give alyssa a fond kiss to the cheek before she pulls herself & her twin away, looking a little disappointed (but determined). ]

[ strolls on over to drape over anthony & tony's hands casually, looking up at anthony with a smile. ]

It's okay, isn't it? We want to get to know big sis' friends better.

[ twitches & tightens his grip on tony's hand briefly. ]

But buying tickets isn't exciting.

[ comes to grab at tony's other hand with both of hers, tugging insistently. when she speaks, however, she's addressing alyssa & no one else: ]

We've never done it before! Dad never lets us pay! Please~? Mom gave us a twenty each!

[ feigns a considering look, arms crossing over her chest as she hums in mock thought. ]

[ pinches a bit of skin on anthony's side & twists it when he notices anthony opening his mouth to speak. doesn't even blink at the pained yelp, smile in place. ]

[ gives tony a confused look, as if he can't understand why he'd willingly agree to pain & suffering. but lets go with another quiet yelp when elias pinches him again, expression a bit wounded-- & worried. then simply shakes his head & goes to stand next to alyssa anyway, making sure the distance too close, but not far either. ]

[ just grips back and jerks the hand that elias is holding, using it as an anchor to pull him along. is a bit lighter with eileen, strolling along contently to get behind the rest of the people waiting in line to buy their tickets. smiles down at them. ]
