[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ pushes and rubs her face into his shoulder once more. ]

Aw, but I love you so much!

[ turns his head away. ]

But now there's a secret between us.

[ tries to peek at him. ]

So what! I'll bet you have secrets that you don't tell me!

[ wordlessly turns his head even further, as far as it can go. ]

[ lifts a hand, reaching around as best as she can to try and smack at his nose. ]

[ manages to jerk his head downward in time for it to smack his forehead instead. ]

Ow.

[ sighs, but just pats his head after she's had her share of whapping. ]

What am I going to do with you...

Anything but disowning.

Of course not. Someone else might come over and snatch you if I did.

[ gives her shoulder a heavy pat. ]

Paranoia. The voices lie, honey.

But they told me to stay very, very close to you. Or else something bad will happen.

[ stills a little, an immediate thought coming to mind. glances quickly at where tony & the twins are, then turns his attention back to her. ]

. . . Exception to the rule. Probably.

[ keeps her eyes on him, blinking in confusion. ]

What do you mean?

[ shakes his head, as if snapping out of a daze. ]

Lost my train of thought. Let's start over. Pokemon?

[ pouts and removes herself from him, arms crossing over her chest. ]

Are you okay? You've been dazing a lot lately. Are you feeling sick?

[ smiles a bit at that, reaching over to push aside some of her bangs. ]

Tired. Growing into the college life.

[ slowly smiles back and opens her arms out wide, walking towards him to wrap them around him. rubs his back a little. ]

Poor thing.

[ hugs her back lightly, resting his head on top of hers. mumbles quietly. ]

Let's go back to being in high school.

[ buries her nose into him, keeping her own voice low. ]

High school was fun.

Neverland with detentions.

Except for me!

Your high school career is incomplete.

No it's not!

They don't do detentions justice on TV shows.
