[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ pushes the hand away from his nose and shakes his head. ]

I don't do sleepovers.

[ blinks again, looking confused. tilts his head, thinking. ]

. . . ? [ tilts his head the other way. ] . . . Really?

[ hesitates, wondering how he can word his question as best as possible. ]

But. They. . . You make them leave? After. . . [ goes a bit red. ] Things?

[ lifts a hand to brush back some of anthony's hair, a smile slowly spreading across his lips. wants to make a "cute" comment at his curiosity, but knows this isn't the right time for that. ]

I wouldn't put it that way. It's just not something you do, chocobo. Call it an unspoken rule.

. . . [ turns his gaze to the side briefly, then catches that hand into a firm hold. ]

You're okay? With just that?

[ keeps the hand still when it's caught but his expression does not waver. ]

[ makes a soft 'hmm' sound & lets the hand go. ]

But is that what-- [ stops himself to shake his head, not wanting to cross any boundaries. ] Interesting rules.

[ laughs and uses the newly freed hand to ruffle anthony's hair. ]

I'd say you'll find out someday, but you seem like a one-person guy.

[ exhales through his nose quietly. ]

[ puts his cheek on top of anthony's head, drawing him into another hug. ]

[ releases him and pats one of anthony's thighs, as if in closing. ]

[ slides off tony's lap, stretching a bit. pauses when he feels like he hears something familiar, but shakes that off. holds out a hand. ]

I sense doom nearby. Let's evacuate.

[ takes the hand without a second thought before standing, though looks around, as if he's missing out on some joke. ]

Doom?

[ gives him an insistent tug. ]

[ heaves a sigh and goes along. ]
