[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

... ? [ tilts his head, reaching down to stroke the side of anthony's flushed cheek, expression growing softer. ] Something good happened?

[ steps up to wrap his arms around tony to pull him into a hug. ]

. . . Something really good.

[ blinks down at the crown of anthony's head in surprise at the sudden gesture. eventually wraps his arms around his companion, pressing his nose into his hair. ]

You should tell me all about it.

[ nudges his own nose against tony's chest as he smiles again. ]

She gave me a good night kiss.

[ chuckles a little at that, holding him a bit tighter. ]

Aw, I missed out.

[ nuzzles his face into his chest, then closes his eyes contently. ]

Probably. But this one's mine.

[ strokes his hair idly while humming in consideration. ]

Do I get to give you one too, then?

[ peels himself away slowly, lifting a hand to run his fingers through tony's bangs to push them back. ]

Only. . . only if I can give back.

[ watches him carefully, only giving a nod when he feels like he can control an amused grin. lifts his hands to cup anthony's face. ]

Alright. If that's what you want.

[ & then bends down to press a small but firm kiss on anthony's lips, pulling back only after a few seconds to smile down at him. ]

[ stares up at him open-mouthed, as if uncertain as to what just happened. ]

[ then pulls both hands free to stroke at the skin of tony's cheeks briefly before tugging him down again to return the kiss as promised, though it's a bit lighter. ]

G. . . Good night.

[ shakes his head fondly at that but leans forward to deposit a quick kiss onto his forehead. murmurs against his skin: ]

Good night, chocobo.

[ gives his hair one last fond stroke before he moves off and away from the kitchen, heading towards anthony's bedroom to join the sleeping princess that lies there peacefully. ]

[ only when he's certain that tony's disappeared into his room for good does he move, hobbling over to lower himself into a chair slowly. covers his face with both his hands while reminding himself to breathe, the embarrassment finally catching up to him as his mind replays the two kisses -- from both alyssa & tony -- in his mind. then seems to shake off that embarrassment far more easily than he would have on another day, allowing him to lower the hands to let a shy smile stretch his lips.

pushes himself back onto his feet to inspect the kitchen as he tries to bring himself back down from the peak of cloud nine. nods in approval when he notes that everything is in place & in one piece. when he looks up next, it's twenty minutes past on the clock on the stove; deep breaths in, out & he's shuffling back to his room, though he pauses in shutting off the hallway lights to eye (& ingrain) the image of tony & their princess sleeping together peacefully.

& so with that image in mind, when he wiggles into the little room that is left on the bed, the smile returns to his face & stays there, even long past his surrender to slumber. ]
