[ a party at the end of finals was something alyssa had not been entirely interested in, merely shaking her head a little bit shyly when the offer was brought to her attention in class one day. of course, this was before anthony had shrugged and said they should go since the opportunity was there. why not? was what alyssa got out of it, prompting her to quickly agree with some hesitation despite herself. and this was why the girl sat tucked into a corner of one of the couches in the room, tapping the cup in her hands a little for no reason in particular other than giving herself something to do.

with her feet moving back and forth to the music that plays overhead, she sips her (thankfully untouched) punch slowly, eyes glancing around at all the students that are mingling in small groups here and there. a part of her wasn't sure why people were watching her and anthony closely every now and then, as if they knew something that she did not. nonetheless she continues to sit there in silence, glancing down at her phone every now and then to see if she has any texts from nathan-- she was sure he would be doing that throughout the duration of her stay. ]

Okay! After some punch. I'll bring you back peanuts!

[ knows it's a lost cause but she can't help herself: ]

Okay... but no punch!

[ & then crosses her arms over her chest once more, flopping backwards onto the couch with a huff. ]

[ understands that as don't bring the punch, so upon waddling to the punch table, he downs another cupful within the same second. almost knocks the refreshments over as he picks off some of the peanuts from the cakes they have available, gathering them into an empty cup for alyssa before shuffling back to the couch. plops down next to her when he returns, handing the cup of peanuts over to her with a pleased expression. ]

[ blinks down at the cup when he returns, peering into it. smiles, taking it before looking up at him. raises a hand, ready to pet him. ]

[ --& that hand quickly diverts itself, putting it on his face instead when she smells his breath. ]

[ shakes her head briefly and instead of answering she fidgets a bit, looking concerned. ]

It... it smells like alcohol. You aren't drinking... are you?

[ squints a little, looking a little pained as he tries to focus. ]

It was punch? Just punch. I think. . .

[ frowns for a while longer, thinking. in the end she just lifts a hand, patting his head. ]

Well... it might just be magical punch.

[ leans towards her hand contently. ]

[ lets out an amused laugh, leaning forward to press a kiss on the top of his head as she continues to stroke his hair. ]

Yes, yes. Of course.

[ lurches forward to lean his head against her shoulder. ]

I'm sorry. But I do love you. Then and now and-- [ rumbles into a semi-melodic tone. ] Forever and foreverrrrr. . .
