[ stretches when p.e. class is finally over, feeling a little bit like jelly, a little bit like a boulder & a little bit of weakling. shakes his arms a bit to free himself of that feeling, rubbing the back of his neck as he silently tells himself that though the class would only grow to be more strenuous as the semester goes on (especially during the stress-high weeks of exam prep), he'd still enjoy it, not regret it. etcetra. but at the moment, he stinks, even to himself. after spending a rude amount of time at the water fountain (drinking his fill, ignoring his surroundings as usual), he changes directions toward the lockers, intent on taking a quick shower, changing out of his gym clothes & perhaps heading home early for the day. ]

[ tilts to the side just quick enough to have it miss him, returning back to center to run a hand through his hair to remove the other ones that landed there. ]

Perhaps he has a crush on you, but I highly doubt it. Either way he does not think I treat you very well.

[ shakes her head, moving towards anthony again. ]

Oh, no, please don't think that. Big brother is very kind and generous.

[ tilts his head at michael, at a small loss. then turns to anne & says one word: ]

Soccer.

[ returns that with a small tilt of her head. ]

[ but holds out his hands for his food anyway. ]

[ still looks baffled for a little while longer, responding when she notices his movement. hands it over to him. ]

There you go. I also put some gummy worms in a cup and two slices of our brand new vegan carrot cake in there. [ pulls out one of the business cards, handing it over to him with a smile. ] Please tell us how you like it after you try it.

[ peeks inside at the mention of gummy words, his previous thought & statement taking a backseat for a moment in excitement. pockets the business card & nods. ]

[ gives up a thumbs-up, only it's positioned in such a way that even he's uncertain who he's gesturing to. ]

[ when she leaves, he stretches & checks the time on his cellphone before glancing at michael with a puzzled look. ]

She wouldn't accept your money if you tried. [ glances up at him. back down to his book. ] You can pay me in blood and sweat on the field.

[ waves his pen at him as a makeshift farewell gesture. ]

[ shakes his head, but otherwise wordlessly departs, only pausing to give a short wave to anne in goodbye. tucks his (& his dad's) dinner under an arm when he steps out onto the street, not bothering to cover up the three consecutive yawns that spill from his lips. rubs at an eye with his free hand as he drags his feet on his (sluggish) way back to campus. thinks about a myriad of things, one of which being a wish that tinkerbell had come with a remote control option -- & then whether or not he would've been able to afford it, even if she had. feeling the half-meant depression starting to flatten his hair, he shrugs that off & thinks on today's events instead.

... shivers a little at the spartan training that he knows that the team (he) will be subjected to, but eventually manages to combat that feeling with one of pride. it's a feeling that he allows himself to feel very rarely, the last time being when he'd received his acceptance letter to the same university as alyssa's & tony's. lets himself smile briefly to himself, as well as puffing out his chest for the rest of his trip to his scooter & subsequently his home, bed, & glorious, glorious sleep. ]
