[ continues her trek towards one of the less crowded areas of the school, holding two bags full of (homemade) food close to her chest. when she spots her company for the afternoon she shifts the excess weight to free her hands; comes up behind anthony, reaching up to put her palms over his eyes as she happily exclaims: ]

[ glances over at the bathroom briefly, deciding to disregard it for now. ]

[ points to the bags in reply. then pauses for a moment before adding: ]

[ hesitates for a moment, looking back at the bathroom again to make sure that nobody is heading their way. fidgets a bit. ]

Um... Anthony? Have you... spoken to my brother recently?

[ blinks. ]

During practice. A little. [ between the screaming. ] Why?

[ shuffles her feet a little, embarrassed. ]

He hasn't been by recently, so... I wanted to know if he's okay.

. . . He's okay. Same as usual.

[ pauses for a moment. ] He doesn't call you?

[ shakes her head, looking a little mopey. looks up again to quickly add on: ]

Oh, but it's probably because he's so busy. He works very hard.

[ brings up his hands. curls one into a fist. ] Family. [ curls the other. ] Other things. [ puts a pacman sign made of his index & middle finger in between, the mouth of it pointing towards the family fist. ]

Family wins. This is normal.

[ shakes her head a bit, expression turning into something more relieved. ]

It's different for him. But thank you for telling me how he is, I feel a lot better now.

[ stares for a moment, reaching for a gummy worm when he feels a bit uncomfortable. ]

Can't you call him?

He doesn't like anyone calling unless it's an emergency. [ pauses. ] Or if it's school-related.

[ pulls out his cellphone, his intent very clear. ]

[ suddenly looks very flustered. ]

O-Oh no, please don't do that!

[ pauses at that. ]

I just want to say hello.

[ stops. fidgets again, beginning to scoot off in another direction. ]

A-Alright... I'll, um. Go over here, then.

[ shakes his head. hits the numbers, the dial button & hands the phone over. ]

After you.

[ shakes her head again and backs away a few steps. ]

Please... don't.

[ immediately cuts off the call at her expression. shrinks away a bit in guilt. ]

. . . S-Sorry.

[ looks relieved again when she realizes he ended the call. steps back, smiling down at him. ]

It's alright. [ pauses. then smiles a bit wider. ] You're so nice. Your friend is very lucky to have you.
