[ continues her trek towards one of the less crowded areas of the school, holding two bags full of (homemade) food close to her chest. when she spots her company for the afternoon she shifts the excess weight to free her hands; comes up behind anthony, reaching up to put her palms over his eyes as she happily exclaims: ]

Guess who~!

[ wipes off as much water as possible with his hands from his face, then pokes his head close to her mouth. ]

Smell test?

[ blinks over at him in brief confusion at the gesture, turning to face him fully. purses her lips into a small 'o' shape to blow a small puff of air at him. ]

[ draws back, his nose twitching a bit. nods in understanding. ]

Okay. Next time, we'll race.

[ puts her hands on her hips, puffing out her cheeks a little. ]

Does that mean that I'm still smelly, mister.

[ shakes his head & pokes those cheeks with his fingers. ]

Checking out the competition.

[ deflates her cheeks with the poke, giving a small "oh". smiles up at him widely. ]

I didn't get to test you!

[ retracts his hands to lean down a bit, mimicking her previous action of blowing out a soft breath of air. ]

. . . Do I get to pass?

[ hums a little in thought. pushes her hand into his face, gently nudging him away. ]

Nope. You're smelly.

[ & then she turns and walks towards anthony's bedroom without another word. ]

[ looks a bit shocked, turning to check his teeth in the mirror when she leaves. rinses his mouth one more time to ease his paranoia, then trails on after her. ]

But I don't want to be smelly.

[ sits on the edge of his bed when they reach it, pressing her palms against the mattress behind her so that she can lean her weight on those limbs for support. ]

I have a cure for being smelly.

[ stops in front of her, looking curious. ]

Epic journey for Oz?

[ shakes her head, reaching out for both of his hands in silence. ]

[ holds them out to grasp hers obediently. ]

. . . ?

[ gently tugs him down a bit, craning her neck up to press a small kiss to the side of one of his eyes. lingers there for a moment or two, pulling back slowly to smile up at him. ]

There. Cured of everything bad.

. . . !

. . .

[ lets the blush settle as he tugs her gently into a soft hug. ]

Heroine of justice. Thanks, honey.

[ buries her face into his chest contently, wrapping her own arms around him to strengthen their connection. ]

You're welcome, darling.

[ presses a kiss to the top of her head, resting his cheek on the same spot afterward. ]

. . . Love you.

[ shifts her head a bit to press a kiss to his chest, right over his heart. ]

I love you too. So much.

[ opens his mouth to reply when he hears a non-too-gentle shuffle & crash from beyond his doorway. groans softly into alyssa's hair, knowing exactly what has just happened. feeling the apology before it's even spoken, he dislodges an arm from around his honey to lift it & give it a few waving motions of dismissal.

... then steps away from alyssa altogether when he doesn't hear his dad's retreating steps. turns around to give ralph a look & a few choice words: ]

You are dreaming, peepin' padawan. Shoo. Go to bed, and remember there's no lunch tomorrow.

[ walks to the door to peek out the doorway when ralph finally shuffles off. making certain that his dad is nowhere to be found, he closes his door & rests his back against it, sliding downward onto his rear with a hand covering the upper half of his face. mumbles to alyssa: ]

S-Sorry. . .

[ blinks and tilts her head at the scene, keeping herself quiet. when it's just her and anthony again she quirks a soft smile, standing up to walk over to her companion. laces her hands behind her back, leaning in to peer at anthony's face as she says a bit teasingly despite her expression: ]

Does he think we're more than just friends, darling?

[ keeps the hand in place as he nods minutely. ]

He'll get over the surprise in t-two days. . .

[ expression drops a little at that, but only for a split second. shakes her head and smiles wider, reaching down to tug at his hand instead. ]

Then I guess there's nothing to worry about. We should just sleep, hm?
