[ pulls onto the street across from anthony's apartment complex to park his car, turning the vehicle off before leaning back into the seat in silence. a day when they're both free was rare to come by nowadays, thus the sudden decision to grab the boy when he was given the a-okay by anthony himself. only this time he was going to him instead of the other way around, a good way to practice on getting back into something more comfortable with the friend(s) he had not been able to spend time with as often as he would have liked. still, it was a good start, and that's really all that mattered to him.

drums his fingers against the steering wheel in thought, shaking his head before getting out of the car, pocketing his keys after he's locked up. doesn't take any time in doing the typical routine (that he had not been able to do in quite some time)-- walks in, waits for the elevator, steps inside to push the button for the correct floor number, then strolls on out when the ding signals his arrival. his feet carry him at a leisurely pace towards the apartment, arriving in no time at all; after he knocks he shoves his hands into his pockets, taking a look around the hallway as if this were his first time visiting. a moment's thought makes him grin to himself a little (the things that happened last time they were alone together, still going over that day with some fondness attached despite the bad moments), schooling the smile to instead train his eyes on the door to wait for his friend to appear. ]

[ puffs out a breath at the memory. ]

Too much.

They must be really fancy or something if they cost that much.

[ shrugs. ]

Most are hand-made.

[ is silent for a while, almost looking like he's thinking. smiles and shrugs a little when he's through. ]

Well, maybe someday. But you like those Gundam kits the most, right?

[ sits up a bit to turn toward tony, nodding excitedly. ]

Y-Yeah. . . Gundam is the best.

[ lips twitch upward more at seeing him so excited, wanting to comment on how cute he is. instead he lifts a hand to stroke at his hair as he rest his cheek on the arm still draped on the steering wheel, just smiling at his friend fondly. ]

[ twitches a bit in embarrassment at the expression, shrinking into himself a little even when he tilts toward the petting. closes his eyes, breathing out a content exhale. ]

. . . Special treatment.

Only for special friends.

[ leans over to press a kiss to the top of his head, ruffling his hair playfully. and with that he moves, unhooking his seat belt so that he can properly open the door and step out. peeks at anthony when he opens the door behind his seat, grinning and grabbing the plushes back there before slamming the door shut. ]

[ sits there, a little prone until everything registers properly. quickly scrubs at his face to get rid of the blush, then shoves the plushes back into their plastic bag so that he can scramble out of the car as well. stares up at tony & ... the huge plush he's armed with. ]

Can you see?

Totally!

[ --is what he says, but he's gracefully waddling towards a bush instead of the apartment complex. ]

. . . !! [ rushes toward him, wrapping both arms around tony's waist to bodily stop him, knowing the words would take too long to be processed. ]

Bad! Walking-into-a-ditch sort of bad!

[ blinks, attempting to peer over his shoulder and down at anthony. ]

Really? [ peeks around the bird plush as best as he can. goes back to his friend, raising an eyebrow. ] Or is that an excuse to give me a hug?

[ goes a bit red as he lets go quickly. but even still, he grabs a bit of tony's shirt. tugs a bit. ]

Uh. Just follow me.

[ blinks down at him, but lets it go at that with a small nod. ]

Lead the way, then.

[ keeps his grip firm as he leads them both into his apartment building, waiting briefly at the elevator before the door dings open. steps inside & carefully tugs tony along as well. then hits his floor's button, which is when he finally feels safe enough to let go of tony's shirt, stepping back a tad so that his back hits the wall of the elevator. ]

I can hear your muscles screaming.

[ raises an eyebrow down at him, shifting the plush in his arms. ]

Me? Hah! My muscles never scream.

[ reaches forward to prod at tony's side with a finger. ]

Denial's bad for your lymph nodes.

[ grunts a little at the prod. ]

I'll never be defeated by a gigantic chicken. Never.

Don't underestimate us chickens.

You could only kill people with being cute. [ pauses briefly. ] You and Alyssa should team up and take over the world.

[ waves that off. ]

Lyssa doesn't need my help for that.

That's true.

[ squeezes the plush a little, smiling down at it. doesn't continue that line of thought as the elevator dings to signal their arrival, carefully moving away and out the door as it slides on open. ]

[ follows along, grabbing hold of tony's shirt again as he leads them a little further down the hallway to his apartment. lets his friend go so that he can unlock the door, swinging it wide open for tony. ]

After you.

[ wanders in quickly to set the plush down onto the couch, straightening and rolling his shoulder a little when the excess weight is released. looks down at it, pats its head, then turns to happily head towards the kitchen to poke around in it for his treat. ]

[ puts the cat plush on top of the bird, then wanders into his room to put the rest of his newly bought toys away. decides to quickly change into some more comfortable clothes while he's there. finished in seconds, he makes his way back toward the kitchen, standing at the entrance as he watches his friend. ]
