[ shivers a little underneath the covers when a chill disturbs his slumber, tucking himself a bit closer to caleb to leech off of his warmth. after a moment or two he cracks an eye open, shifting his gaze on over to the window when he feels like something is amiss. blinks once, twice, then slowly sits up in the bed as he gets a closer look at the outside world.

when he sees the snow that had piled up over the night and continued to litter the ground he can't help but get on his knees, smooshing his face and hands up against the glass as if he were an overexcited child. pries himself away after the tiniest of bounces on the bed to instead direct his attention to his sleeping companion. places a hand on his shoulder and lightly shakes. ]

Caleb. Caleb!

[ whiles he pulls out his neatly folded clothing to place them on the bed, blinking at caleb when he starts to take off his shirt. picks up his pajamas again instead, nods, then wanders off to the bathroom. ]

[ takes that time to quickly change, tugging on his pants first before pulling on his shirt. that done, he rolls up his other clothes & wanders over to plant them next to the dresser, too tired & lazy to do anything more than that. deciding to organize tomorrow, he shuffles back to the bed, lying down on it with his legs dangling off the side of the bed as he waits. ]

[ & he does his job a little sluggishly, mostly taking his time in brushing his teeth and washing his face (as usual). when his clothes are once again in a neat little pile he exits the bathroom, poking his head into the bedroom before wandering towards the dresser to open a drawer he had previously claimed as his own. ]

[ drags himself out of sleepiness with a small 'ja', he gives nathan a small, drunk-like smile before wandering into the bathroom. after brushing his teeth lazily, he scrubs at his face with some water, careful around the eyes as usual. finished with that, he squints at his reflection. deciding he's suitably clean, he wanders back into the room & wiggles directly under the blankets without a word.

only when he's comfortable & feels his body heat warm his place under the blanket, he peers up at nathan from his position. ]

Nathan ready?

[ lets his smile soften at that, giving a tiny nod as he also slips underneath the covers. hesitates as he opens his hand with the earring still in it, carefully placing it on the nightstand for safe keeping until he can think of what to do with it. turns towards caleb, smile turning brighter. ]

Ready.

[ wraps his arms around nathan's waist to tug the other boy closer, tucking his head on top of the mass of hair. yawns a bit. ]

Ich liebe dich, Nathan. Gute Nacht.

[ smile softens at that, slowly shutting his eyes to murmur lowly, a little sleepily: ]

[ at those words, he uses his leftover energy to swoop in closer & land a soft kiss to nathan's lips. straightening back into their usual sleeping pose, he releases a quiet, contented sigh. letting the exhaustion take hold entirely, his eyes slip closed while his breathing synchronizes with nathan's. steadily sinking into slumber, he murmurs quiet words in german (too mumbled for even him to pick out specific phrases), but knows what he's saying at the back of his mind anyway: for moments like these to continue, as long as he can. the next mumble comes in english, a drowsy 'it is good christmas'.

with those said, he nestles deeper into unconsciousness, curling himself around nathan's unique heartbeat, taking comfort in the sound for yet another night. ]
