[ shivers a little underneath the covers when a chill disturbs his slumber, tucking himself a bit closer to caleb to leech off of his warmth. after a moment or two he cracks an eye open, shifting his gaze on over to the window when he feels like something is amiss. blinks once, twice, then slowly sits up in the bed as he gets a closer look at the outside world.

when he sees the snow that had piled up over the night and continued to litter the ground he can't help but get on his knees, smooshing his face and hands up against the glass as if he were an overexcited child. pries himself away after the tiniest of bounces on the bed to instead direct his attention to his sleeping companion. places a hand on his shoulder and lightly shakes. ]

Caleb. Caleb!

[ he doesn't wake immediately, as his brain doesn't register anything vicinity as a threat. makes little mumbling noises while pushing his face into the mattress, curling around what he assumes to be nathan by his side. blearily realizes that it's also precipitating (raining or snowing, he can't really tell), making him grunt, but the excited spike in nathan's voice & heartbeat is enough to dim the growing pressure of a headache while propelling his head to lift upward. blinks a little. with only one eye open, he moves his line of sight from nathan to the window back to nathan.

sleepily manages the following caveman speak: ]

[ while he's obviously way too excited to take much notice of said caveman speak, sitting down on his rear to continue. ]

Snow! It's snowing!

[ blinks a few more times, then puts his head back down on the bed while snuggling up closer against nathan. ]

A lot?

[ puts a hand on caleb's head while he peeks back out the window. ]

Uh-huh.

[ smiles a little against the hand, nuzzling up at it. ]

Snow good? Snow is cold!

[ smile widens slightly at the question while he idly runs his other hand's fingers through caleb's hair. ]

Yeah, snow is good. I like it a lot.

[ closes his eyes against the petting, mumbling quiet pleased noises in german before responding. ]

Then snow is good. Snow fight is good too! And snow person!

I'm really good at snowball fighting. [ puffs his chest out a little. ] Damon says otherwise, but he's a liar and can never be trusted.

[ looks away and shrugs a little, cheeks growing warm. ]

He's okay... sometimes.

[ twists a bit so that he can open his good eye to stare up at nathan quizzically without dislodging his head from the bed. ]

Okay sometimes? Bad next times?

[ shifts a little uncomfortably, embarrassed. ]

[ shakes his head to dismiss that, resting both of his hands on either side of caleb's head so that he can ruffle his hair. ]

Alright, enough already. Less talk, more going outside and playing in the snow!

later that day...

[ when aaron & hana leave for the evening, he's quick to move around & get certain things done, like washing the dishes. he washes them slowly so that he doesn't break anything, keeping an eye closed to focus on the task at hand. when finished, he grabs a couple of juice boxes from the fridge to join nathan on the couch.

settles himself into one of the cushions on the couch next to nathan. stays put for a couple of seconds before he starts to wiggle in a little closer, setting the juice boxes aside so that he can tug a little at the smaller boy in hopes of a hug-slash-cuddle. gestures at the juice boxes when he's sort of satisfied with their positions, twisting a bit to squint at the labels. ]

Apple? Fruit punch?

[ a small smile tugs at his lips when the squirming and situating happens, belatedly shifting slightly to accommodate them both when the question is asked. peers at the selection, pretending to consider. ]

Fruit punch.

[ hands that over while he pokes a hole into his own juice box. takes a sip. ]

[ shakes his head fondly, mimicking caleb's actions. after a sip or two: ]

[ nuzzles at the top of nathan's head. ]

Ja. I like today, a lot. Is with team, and they like my present!

[ tries to look up at him, head tilted. ]

[ relaxes back into his hold as he makes a considering noise. takes another sip of his drink. ]

What'd you get her for Christmas, then?

[ rattles off: ]

I sing her a song on computer. A necklace, her favourite lotion, Kaffee and tea set, pretty candle, and give promise that I be good next year too!

[ lifts an arm, bending it back to ruffle his hair with a hand. ]

You sure did spoil her.
