[ double-checks that everything in the house is straightened and in its proper place, despite having cleaned everything earlier that morning. a few peeks up the stairs towards her brother's room is the only other movement she makes besides nudging things here and there, taking a seat on the edge of a chair when she realizes that it probably won't be very long now. is quite aware (was made aware) that her brother had tricked anthony into thinking they were going to meet at twelve instead of twelve-thirty, but still can't help but glance outside the front window every few minutes to make sure that she would be there when he arrived. ]

You deliberately do things that you understand will hurt you in some way, express your distaste or indifference of the outcome, then do it again anyway. So you are either foolish or a masochist.
