[ the streets had been pretty bare after a little traffic on the way to anthony's apartment, making due with the time they had when stopping to glance down at the arms around his waist. double-checking never hurt, considering the circumstances. as per usual he has his moments of thought over the events that had taken place throughout the day. said thoughts eventually traveled into their adventure at the lounge, concluding that it was most likely the alcohol speaking for anthony and nothing more than that; it was an acceptable self-hypothesis.

without any chatter involved (he was half-expecting puff, woo to happen any second, after all) he makes his way down the last few streets in complete silence, already quite aware of their exact destination. ]

「 Boyfriend. 」 [ takes one of michael's hands and one of anthony's, making them hold onto one another. ] 「 Happily Ever After. 」

[ doesn't say anything, shoulders dropping ever-so slightly at his reply. ]

[ removes his hand from anthony's, straightening his clothes out. ]

It seems that you will be quite fine without my assistance any longer. [ turns towards the exit. ] I bid you goodnight.

[ tugs hiro over for another hug, looser this time. frowns at the slight droop, which obviously means... ]

But you said you'd stay for cookie dough. Look, you're making my Pikachu sad.

My response to your invitation was merely out of concern for your health. If you had been hurt, you would be unable to come to practice next week. Nonetheless, I believe it will be more enjoyable to eat with your sibling instead.

[ watches the strange man michael leave, only turning back to anthony when the front door closes. tugs on him lightly with a hand to get his attention again, pushing his face into his chest while clinging on. ]

[ hugs him closer, rubbing his nose back into the boy's hair. ]

Sorry. Didn't know you were back. Text me next time. . .?

「 It's okay. Because you looked happy. 」

I'm happy when you visit. [ pause. ] Also, I think I drank weird Sprite.

[ pauses. just rubs his nose into anthony's chest some more. ]

[ just hangs onto him for a moment, both drowsy & content. then: ]

Hungry? Should I make something?

[ pulls back slightly to both look at him and type: ]

「 Thirsty. I got up to get water. 」

Oh. [ long pause as he tries to figure this out through... the alcohol. ] I should probably get up then.

[ nods, agreeing just this one time. lifts a hand to pat anthony on the head, though, just to show that he appreciates the gesture anyway. ]

[ tilts into the pat, almost going off balance before he catches himself. dislodging slowly, he gets to his feet, wobbling a bit as he reaches for a clean cup. ]

Just water?

[ reaches to hold onto the edge of anthony's shirt as he nods a few times in a silent reply. ]

[ sniffs at the water after he fills the cup with it (a strange bout of paranoia). eventually seems to be convinced enough that the water's safe, whereupon he hands it over. ]
