[ the streets had been pretty bare after a little traffic on the way to anthony's apartment, making due with the time they had when stopping to glance down at the arms around his waist. double-checking never hurt, considering the circumstances. as per usual he has his moments of thought over the events that had taken place throughout the day. said thoughts eventually traveled into their adventure at the lounge, concluding that it was most likely the alcohol speaking for anthony and nothing more than that; it was an acceptable self-hypothesis.

without any chatter involved (he was half-expecting puff, woo to happen any second, after all) he makes his way down the last few streets in complete silence, already quite aware of their exact destination. ]

[ takes it immediately, glancing over to michael. trots to him, giving a small tug to his sleeve before quickly tugging anthony through the door. ]

Onward.

[ & with that, he picks up his own plate of food with his free hand & tugs hiro along with the other. two, three steps & they're out of his room, & a handful more lead them down the (short) hallway & toward the table. setting his plate down in front of his usual seat, he releases hiro's hand gently to settle into his chair. ]

[ wiggles onto his own assigned seat, getting comfortable next to his pokeball cup filled with orange juice. pats the table a bit when michael glances at the seats, his point taken quite quickly when the eldest seats himself across from them.

picks up his phone, typing and showing it to them both: ]

「 Itadakimasu. 」

[ looks at the word curiously. ]

Ita-daki-masu?

[ says it fluidly, though with an accent: ] Itadakimasu.

You say it before you eat in Japan.

I see. An interesting concept.

[ & then he begins to nom. ]

[ noms a bit on his own eggs. ]

It's like saying 'thank you for the food'. Just before you eat. They have a saying for after too.

[ chews, swallowing before he speaks. ]

Which is?

[ has to pause again, but this time to carefully pronounce: ]

Gochisousama.

... ! [ finally looks up from sipping his juice, nodding at anthony. ] 「 Gochisousama. Very good, onii-chan. 」

[ puffs out his chest a bit. ]

Told you I'd learn.

[ another nod, as if to confirm his statement. ]

「 Onii-chan is the smartest. 」

[ puffs up even more. ]

[ takes his time with his food, glancing up only when the conversation on the other side of the table seems like it's at an end. ]

Will you be well enough to attend practice this weekend?

[ talks while munching around his toast. ]

Probably. The pain's not as bad as it can be.

Very well, then. [ turns his attention to hiro. ] You may also attend, if you would like.

... ! 「 Can I? 」 [ looks at anthony. ] 「 Onii-chan, is it okay if I go too? 」

[ blinks at him, taken off-guard. ]

Uh. Yeah, if you want to come.

「 I do. I want to see you play. 」

I only get beaten around by the ball.

... ? 「 What do you mean? 」

[ points to himself. ]

Goalie. Remember?

「 But a goalie blocks balls. So isn't it the other way around? 」

This is Spa-- college.

「 Oh. 」

[ ... sips his juice, scooting himself over a little so he can rest his head on the side of anthony's shoulder. ]
