[ her daily routine started off as it usually did: crawling out of bed and plopping on the floor, letting out a little oof! at the impact. picking herself up, she makes her way to her bathroom in a hurry to do her business, throwing her hands up in the air when she scurries out into her room in a victory! fashion. after that she throws open her closet and drawers, rummaging around to pick out an outfit for the day.

pulls her shirt over her head, snaps her jumper on, then picks up her pajamas to set them on her bed neatly; her personal (ninja) maid would surely put it into the wash for her. fistpumps once, quickly crawling onto her bed to pet ~~her fat kitty~~ catbert, telling him to be good while she goes to find daddy before zipping out of the room at top-speed.

says a quick HI, BYE! to one of the maids along the way, zooming and rolling around to peer into every corner to find albert. stands up from peeking underneath a bed to tap her chin, going AH-HAH! when a thought strikes her; the study was her final destination. and when she gets there and sees her daddy she snickers, quietly crawling on the ground slowly so that he wouldn't notice her right away. peeks up over the table, beaming when she sees a plate of cheese there. shifty-eyes to albert, reaching a hand out to nab a few pieces and plop onto the ground.

& that's the pattern she'll have for a while, continuing on ~~stealing~~ nomming down the cheese as quietly as possible, her previous mission long forgotten in the face of a cheesy-delicious breakfast. ]

[ five minutes before school's out, his car's turning into the school parking lot, rolling into an open space close to the main building of his little princess' new school. stepping out of the car with his sunglasses on, he gives the building & surrounding cars & waiting parents a disinterested glance before closing the door to his car. he comes around so that he can lean on the trunk of his car, arms crossed loosely in front of his chest.

there are stares of course (closer to gapes, really), but he's far too used to them to notice them. the stares get worse when the bell rings & the students start bursting out of the front doors. there's a bit of a traffic jam when the first wave of children catch sight of him, staring open-mouthed. he looks past them, head tilted & craned for the familiar sight of black hair & green eyes instead. ]

[ slowly but surely she's skipping out through the front doors of the school, humming happily to herself while kids greet their parents or they're heading off in the direction of the nearest bus stop. for her it's a little different, instead busy looking for a familiar face in the slowly growing crowd.

perks up when albert comes into view, running on over him with her eyes sparkling happily. ]

Daddy~!

[ leans away from the car when she approaches to draw her into a hug & press a kiss to the top of her head. ]

Hello, little princess. You've stories for me?

[ latches on automatically with her face pressed into his chest, only looking up at him when she's done rubbing her nose into him. ]

Uh-huh~

[ another kiss & he leans back a bit. ]

Then I suppose we should depart where we can speak in private.

[ nods excitedly, removing herself from albert after lifting up to give him a big kiss on the cheek. knowing the car will be open for her, she takes off her backpack and slips into the passenger's seat. ]

[ & he comes around to get into the driver's seat, though he doesn't turn on the car immediately just yet. ]

Have you any preference for our destination?

[ hums as she looks up at the ceiling of the car. ]

Ice cream?

[ inclines his head & finally starts up the car. once they're out of the parking lot & into the main street, he forces himself to drive a little slower than his usual & fight the dazing so that he can glance over at her. ]

Your opinion on your new school, little princess?

[ clutches her backpack, beaming. ]

I love it! Everyone was super nice at orientation. I even made a friend~

[ raises a brow, somehow looking both pleased & ... protective. ]

Oh?

Uh-huh. His name is Tony. [ tilts her head a little, once again looking skyward. ] He's in my first and third period class. He's a little hyper and already got scolded by my history teacher, but he's really nice.

[ shakes his head, a little amused. ]

That's quite impressive.

[ nods in agreement before perking up, a thought striking her. ]

But I really like my history teacher, daddy! His name is Riku. He's really tall and handsome, and is married to someone named Robert. He seems strict at first, but you can tell that he's actually a very caring person.

[ eyebrows go up at the mention of the particular marriage (unexpected), but looks pleased nonetheless. ]

Ah. Your favourite already?

My very favorite. [ looks down at her shoes, swaying to-and-fro gently. ] You know how some schools take trips and stuff? We've got one later in the year, I think. He's going to chaperone.

Have they told you where to?

[ shakes her head a little. ]

But we'll be getting permission slips in a few months. I'm sure they'll tell us then, daddy~

[ quietly makes a note in the back of his mind to find out sooner. outwardly, he just nods. ]

I'm poor with suspense.

Ah~ I understand, daddy. [ pats one of his hands. ] But don't worry, maybe you can come along too.

They would allow that? [ officially? ]

If you signed up to be a chaperone, maybe. But I'm not sure about the rules just yet...

[ thinks about this for a while, speaking again only when they hit a red light. ]

I will pay the office a visit tomorrow.

[ beams, leaning over to give his shoulder a kiss. places the side of her face there as they wait out the red light. ]

I missed you today, daddy.

[ smiles, giving the crown of her head a soft nudge with his nose. ]

And I, you, little princess. We all did.
