[ as the limousine steadily makes its way towards the masquerade brianna primps and preens. she isn't too worried about her appearance, already knowing that her gown, hair, and overall appearance is perfect, simply doing said fidgeting in order to keep herself busy. ]

[ snaps the compact shut and puts it back into her clutch purse, setting it aside before sparing a glance over to her date for the night. the look on her face is that of anticipation, yet there's some sort of amusement playing across her features as well. ]

It seems pointless, all of these things. You live your life as if there's everything to be gained from it. You're nothing but a sad, pitiful toy that will be thrown away when something better comes along.

[ brushes her nose against his, eyes narrowing slightly. ]

You poor thing. Does it hurt you day after day knowing that your efforts will lead to nothing? That you constantly want what you can't have, yet pretend as if you can't see these faults in your daily life.
