[ as the limousine steadily makes its way towards the masquerade brianna primps and preens. she isn't too worried about her appearance, already knowing that her gown, hair, and overall appearance is perfect, simply doing said fidgeting in order to keep herself busy. ]

[ snaps the compact shut and puts it back into her clutch purse, setting it aside before sparing a glance over to her date for the night. the look on her face is that of anticipation, yet there's some sort of amusement playing across her features as well. ]

[ wearing his typical, cool smile, watching the scenery pass them by through the window with his chin resting on his palm. blinks come lazily, giving him an almost bored look, even when the glint in his eyes do not. when they get the ten minute head's-up, he shifts his gaze away & towards his princess.

tilts his head, lips quirking up a little to make the smile lose its distant, polite touch momentarily. ]

[ hasn't even been there for five minutes and he's already flinching at the people who barely brush or bump up against him. says several "i'm sorry!"s even if he's not exactly at fault, quietly making his way on over to a corner to keep himself from possibly causing a scene. ]

[ has managed to draw a crowd himself despite his poor location; clips of the dull conversation fall deaf on his ears when he spots a sight of familiar blond hair in the crowd. makes him frown for the briefest of moments before it fades back into neutral. straightens away from the wall he has been leaning on, excuses himself from his admirers (kisses the hand of one of the clingier women with a promise of a dance later on to have her relinquish her hold) & navigates through the bodies carefully.

feet quicken when his target trips again, stretching out a hand for the boy to grab onto for support. ]

[ and grab onto it he does as it's the first thing he reaches out for, sort of stumbling a bit before standing up straight again.

looks up at the stranger and blinks a few times. can't really see him without his glasses on but he squints anyway. realizes at the last moment that he's still holding onto his hand, letting out a small "ah!" before pulling away. ]

[ withdraws his hand slowly, tilts his head as if in consideration. smile never leaves, doesn't change. ]

[ pauses, looking elsewhere in thought. rolls his eyes upward, then back down again, fidgeting slightly. ]

[ standing at the edge of the bigger crowds, dressed as casually as the event allows. nudges at his mask once in a while to keep it from sliding off his face. watches the socializing with a disinterested eye while his attention darts from face to face in hopes of locating riku, anna, or oliver.

steps away when people come too close & politely declines any attempt at drawing him into a dance. ends up backing up into a wall, leaning against it. decides to excuse himself as soon as he finds anna & join simon in taking a nap upstairs. ]

[ had spotted rob in the steadily growing groups of people from the get-go, locking onto her target without her attention wavering. simply does not find any enjoyment out of standing around waiting for something when that something (someone) is in eye-shot. this is why she only pauses for the briefest of seconds to decline several outstretched hands politely, inclining her head slightly with a never-wavering smile, even if her gaze has not ceased in following the blond-headed boy.

she breaks away easily, gracefully; does not approach rob bodily, instead opting to slide up beside him, a good handful of inches away. leans down a tad to speak to him nonchalantly, a hint of amusement in her voice. ]

[ goes momentarily still when he hears a voice, immediately straightening as he readies himself to step away if circumstances call for it. ]

Oh? [ tilts head to the side, smile widening. bows her head slightly, making it seem as if she were half-curtsying. ] My apologies for assuming, sir.

[ still hasn't relaxed, but seems to have abandoned the immediate flight response for now. looks at the newcomer from the corner of his eyes. ]

[ said more offhandedly than an actual question. gives rob a once-over with her eyes in thought, licking her lips briefly within yet another smile. ]

[ is currently bouncing from person to person, upholding his image of being a social butterfly. not that he has to try, but something was unsettling in the air for him, the feeling promptly ignored the moment the room was filled with people.

says a hello here and there, dancing with those that extend a hand out and ask for some time with him. never says no if it can be helped, which is why he's seated for the moment on one of the chairs, quietly catching his breath with a smile still lingering on his face. ]

[ has detoured briefly and carefully to another destination, circling around those that she had seen before. eventually approaches anna and stands before him, watching him as he sits there with a peaceful look on his face. ]
