[ takes a good look at it, shuffling through the pile in her own hands. finds it, tucking that one to the front to try it next. pops the ice cream from her mouth briefly to speak clearly. ]

Where next, babe?

[ is already on the second ice cream when he pauses to think about this, only to realize a moment later than he had no real answer to this question. ]

Gimme the map for a sec.

[ maneuvers around her goodies to pull out the map, handing it over before starting on her second as well. ]

[ takes one quick sweep of a look across the map once he's opened it up to its full glory, eyes drawn to a single dot & the descriptive words next to it almost immediately.

petting zoo. shoves a finger at the dot, looking up with a wide grin -- it was one unlike his usual grins; it was wider, a little brighter & more honest. ]

Next destination? Found it right there.

[ glances over to get a good look, raising both of her eyebrows slightly at the look on his face. can't resist letting out a tiny grin of her own, though it's mostly hidden behind the last of her treat. can't help but say the first thing that comes to mind: ]

You are so adorable. [ gestures towards the direction of the petting zoo with her ice cream. ] Onward, then~!

The hell did you just call me?

[ but onward he goes regardless, not wanting to waste time, tugging her along as he munches more on the ice cream. the grin never leaves. ]

[ rolls her eyes at his question, not bothering to respond. quietly follows beside him, circling her gaze down at her purse. hopes she remembered to bring her camera. ]

[ doesn't seem to mind that he's received no answer, focused entirely on the trip at hand. does not even give one lingering look to other rides that they pass by on the way, the speed of their gait remaining constant until the petting zoo is in sight whereupon his feet speed up into a power walk.

gives brianna a quick look over his shoulder before coming up to an empty corner of the fence around where the horses are situated, reaching out with a hand without fear as one of them lifts its head in damon's general direction. ]

[ snickers behind her third ice cream, not being able to hold it back this time. slowly makes her way on over, taking care in rummaging through her purse to look for her camera.

looks pretty pleased when she finds it, taking it out to make sure she can capture damon in all his animal-lover glory. ]

[ & he's too happy to notice, also ignoring the looks of awe the surrounding children & their parents are giving him when the stallion trot over, coming within reach soon after.

is actually practicing self-control when he carefully lays his hand on its muzzle, stroking it gently, telling himself that he must not jump over the fence to join them -- if only for hygiene purposes. smile widens when the horse snorts & seems to relax; he gives the muzzle a fond pat in response. ]

Don't you look cool. Sup, king.

[ is careful in moving over to her brother's side, eyes automatically looking down at the kids with a fond, almost soft look. her destination is damon, however, which is why she pries her gaze away and towards him, not hesitating in leaning back a bit to get a good angle via camera and--click.

stands straight again, tilting her head to the side at the scene before her. ]

It seems to really like you.

[ gives it a few more strokes before he cranes his head toward her, expression bright & his cheeks a tad flushed from the joy of the moment even when his grin retakes on a bit of his characteristic cockiness. ]

He, sis. And he just has good taste, s'all.

[ chuckles, shrugging slightly. gaze and speech softens a bit at his excitement. ]

I had no doubt about that.

[ gives the muzzle another fond pat before he leaves his hand there while reaching behind him with his other hand for one of hers. ]

C'mon, give him some love. Won't bite you, promise.

[ actually blinks in surprise for the tiniest of moments, shifting back to neutral so she could properly place one of her hands into the one outstretched towards her in silence. ]

[ & gently leads her hand upward so that her fingers are touching the horse. whispers a few shh when the horse fidgets a little, using his other hand as still as possible. looks at brianna in the corner of his eye, voice low. ]

Amazing, isn't it?

[ is actually hesitant for a few long moments, longer than she would have liked. the tension in her shoulders relax a fraction and she smiles, using her fingers to caress the horse gently, with as little movement as possible. ]

Yes, it is.

[ lets go of her hand just as gently & slowly as he pulls his hands away from the stallion so that she is the only one touching it, stepping one step away to the side. gives the children around him a thankful grin when they part for him.

turns his head when a whinny fills his ears from his blind side -- another horse, drawn by its curiosity. gives its muzzle a firmer pat than he did the stallion, watching brianna for a moment before turning his attention to the newcomer mare. ]

[ continues to pet the animal and gives a sort of innocent smile, almost a little hesitant but nobody was looking so she gives into the feeling for now.

quietly removes herself from the horse after a moment, nearly startled at almost running into the children that gathered around the two of them. blinks curiously but turns her attention on damon instead, watching him carefully as she thinks about several things all at the same time. ]

[ has noticed her departure from the stallion by sight but by sound -- a combination of the children & the sound of horse trotting away. keeps himself attached to the mare for a little while longer, however, one hand sliding onto its cheek. it trots a step closer when he leans forward, placing his forehead against it, feeling its soft breathing.

breathes out himself, all muscles of his body relaxing, wishing the place was more private. but it isn't, so he leans back instead after a few more seconds, stifling a cough into his shoulder & pulling away from the mare despite its huffs. ]

[ when he looks at brianna, he's just smiling, already setting aside & momentarily ignoring what had just happened in his mind. ]

Ducks or rabbits next?

[ blinks up at him, giving him one of her smiles as well. hooks the strap of the camera around one of her wrists, wanting to remind herself to take photos. ]

Rabbits~!

'kay. Right this way.

[ & off he walks to a different fence altogether, already straining his neck to see the animals over the crowd surrounding the pen. ]

[ wanders on over as well, not hesitating in moving in a bit closer to rest her knees on the ground in front of the pen. reaches out a hand and wiggles a few fingers, pleased when one of the baby bunnies hop on over. toys with its tiny ears idly, lifting her free hand to hide the excited smile on her face.

tilts her head when one of the children stands close by and stares down at her. smile turns softer, taking the kid's hand to gently and slowly guide him down to the bunny. stays like the for a while, brightening when he giggles and continues to pet it, looking as if she's taking more pleasure out of that than the animal in front of her. ]

[ is on the other side of the pen, also bent down to extend his hand forward, letting the bunnies sniff at him. knows not to expect much active acknowledgment as the horses had given him & therefore feels rather accomplished with the nonchalant ways they go about their ways even as he moves his hand about, giving light pets to one here & there.

looks up to see what brianna is doing, raising an eyebrow at the scene but no less pleased. ]
