[ the week had dragged on longer than it should have for brianna, the constant pouring of rain making her more sleepy and tired than usual. most of the hours at home were spent curling up in some unknown part of the mansion to take a long nap, though at the moment she had others plans:

she is currently sitting next to a window with her arms wrapped around her legs, dazing while watching the rain. is not thinking about anything in particular, just simply observing the drops as they stick to the glass, almost as if she's entranced by the motion. does not move, does not speak; it's as if she's a statue. ]

Nor have I. [ shifts to face him. ] I suppose this will be difficult, then.

We can still try. [ looks down at his lap. ] Do you think he'd get mad?

[ considers this silently to herself for a moment or two. ]

... I am not sure.

Mmph. [ scrunches his nose, biting his lip as he considers the two opposing thoughts. ]

[ looks him up and down, a quiet observation. suddenly slides out of her seat, turning to face him once more. ]

May I be excused for a moment?

Huh? Oh, yeah. Where are you going?

Upstairs.

[ hesitates & then nods. ]

Okay. I'll stay here.

[ bows her head a little bit in thanks, turning from him to walk away & up the stairs. ]

[ comes back a few moments later with a box and what looks like a large sketchbook tucked underneath an arm. sits on the floor in front of the fireplace, setting the items down. looks at albert, expecting him to join her. ]

[ peers down at the things she's brought, sliding down onto the floor, still wrapped up in the blanket. ]

You're going to draw?

[ opens her mouth, finding herself closing it after a pause. ]

... I apologize. I did not know what else to bring. Should I look again?

Huh? N-no, it's okay! I just... [ picks up a crayon, pausing before it touches the paper. shakes his head. ]

Um. What should we draw?

[ picks up a crayon, tilting her head down at the paper in thought. leans over it and starts to scribble what should should be a cat, sitting back down properly again. ]

Cat.

[ scribbles something on the paper after her. ]

Fish?

[ nods, pleased at their new game. doodles again with a different colored crayon. ]

Ocean.

[ picks up the grey crayon & scribbles for a long moment. leans away, satisified. ]

Dolphin.

[ looks at it for a while, ducking her head a bit to smile privately to herself. picks up green, marking the page with the color next to the dolphin. ]

Turtle.

[ picks up the red, scribbles. ]

Starfish.

[ pauses, thinking. picks up two colors, shifting a bit closer to albert so she could draw on open space. concentrates, leaning away only when she feels it's decent enough. turns her head to him. ]

Glue.

[ ponders for a moment & then draws a few rough shapes. ]

Paper mache.

[ it takes her a while to draw the next one, trying to form everything from memory alone. ]

Classroom.

[ pauses & takes up a bunch of crayons, black first. seems to scrunch his body together as closely as possible as he draws, only straightening when he finishes. ]
