[ sneezes & sighs, shivering as he emits a small groan as the pounding of his head intensifies for the moment. slouches a bit so that he can press his face into brianna's shoulder, his body tucked against hers as close as possible in a (futile) attempt at borrowing some of her heat.

still, he has enough energy to look up when a nurse calls a name (thankfully not his or hers). closes his eyes again afterward, sighing quietly in relief. feels terrible, but the dread & fear of the woman behind the doctor's door is enough to make him cough out a few words. ]

I want to go home...

[ shifts so she can sit with her legs sprawled out, cupping her mug between both of her hands. watches him, observing. ]

[ another sip. ]

I'm happy.

Happy?

Yeah...

[ puts his warmed cheek back against the sheets, not wanting to move just yet. ]

[ tilts her head in confusion. picks up her stuffed animal, placing it on top of albert's head to see if it would stay there. ]

[ is still enough for it to stay, his breathing evening out as he puts the mug down on the ground & slipping into another quiet daze. ]

[ once again watches him in silence, unsure if he had fallen asleep or not. an impulsive urge makes her raise her hand a bit, looking as if she's about to reach out and touch his hair. stills half-way through, however, pulling back again to place the hand around the mug, eyes averting elsewhere. ]

[ takes a while, but soon he's peeling himself off the pile of blankets, leaning back against the couch. reaches for his mug & sips at it, squinting at brianna. ]

[ does not even notice that he is looking at her for a good chunk of time, and it is only when she slowly turns her gaze back on over to him that she blinks in surprise. ]

[ blinks blearily. ]

What're you doing?

[ sounds a bit confused when she speaks. ]

I... am sitting here?

Oh.

[ a short pauses. ] Do you wanna draw again?

[ reaches over to pick up the plush cat to sit it upright on her lap, settling in again. ]

If you would like.

I'm okay with anything... do you know other games?

[ seems to think hard on this, idly rapping her fingers on the edge of the mug that still resides in her hands. ]

I think so. [ places the mug and plush on the floor as she stands up. looks down at him, her words more of a question than a statement. ] I will be right back.

[ nods, looking up at her with anticipation. ]

[ rushes off when she's given the okay, making a beeline to her bedroom again. opens her closet and peers inside, rummaging around. comes back downstairs a good handful of minutes later with what looks like her backpack, easing down on her knees again before setting it & unzipping it in front of albert. looks back up at him, waiting to see if it meets his approval. ]

[ looks through the backpack & lifts his head to look at her in surprise & amazement. ]

T-This is all yours?

[ blinks at him slowly, her gaze lowering to look at the backpack as well in brief thought. ]

It is now, yes.

[ busily going through the stuff in her bag, shifting through the many different treasures (at least in his eyes) with gentle hands. picks up & examines just about everything before he settles on a colouring book; lifts it out to show it to her. ]

How about this one?

[ looks it up and down before she nods, reaching out a hand to grab the box of crayons. ]

[ in the meanwhile, flipping through pages, looking for the picture that grabs his interest the most. settles with the two-page spread of a prince, princess & a dragon, not minding that it already has some colouring. ]

[ shifts her body a bit so that she could properly lay on her stomach, spreading out the crayons where both of them could reach them. looks over at albert, waiting. ]

[ picks out a dark blue from the pile of crayons to start on the prince, once in a switching with some yellow to outline the fancy clothing. ]

[ trails her finger across the colors, plucking a yellow crayon as well to start on the princess' hair, humming a bit to herself as she scribbles carefully. ]
