[ a lazy summer afternoon seemed like the perfect opportunity for alyssa to drag her best friend to the tv room in the mansion; it seemed like an even better idea to play new moon as their movie of choice, having missed the chance to see it in theaters because of final exams and graduation.

she keeps quiet, too enthralled in the thought that tony had actually agreed to sit down and watch it with her... up until they get fifteen minutes into the movie, that is. shifts slightly in her position against tony, a disgruntled look appearing on her face. ]

This movie is nothing like the book!

[ leans over to give him a quick kiss on his cheek before directing her attention back to a new pile of sand. ]

And then you'll be an even better boyfriend, right.

[ doesn't even shift at the kiss, considering that to be tame & nice, instead leaning over to start adding companion gundams next to alyssa's. ]

Yes. Then I can show you a whole new world.

[ perks up and glances at him and his handiwork. ]

A dazzling place I never knew?

[ keeps working diligently while nodding. ]

And a hundred thousand things to see.

[ can't help herself when she sits up, making dramatic motions with her arms as she begins to sing: ]

I'm like a shooting star, I've come so far~ I can't go back to where I used to be~

[ looks startled for a moment, but then draws away from his creation to join in despite his tone-deaf vocal abilities. ]

A whole new world-- with new horizons to pursue--

[ suddenly stands, taking both of his hands into hers as she twirls them around once. ]

I'll chase them anywhere, there's time to spare~ Let me share this whole new world with yoooou!

[ gives her one of his forehead bumps. ]

A whole new world, that's where we'll be-- [ short pause, then decides to edit some parts out. ] For you and meeee. . .

[ sings with him on that last part, pressing her cheek against his. when the song is over she just hugs him and snuggles her head into his chest. ]

You have a lovely singing voice~

. . . [ gives her a consoling pat on the head before returning the hug. ]

But honey, I wasn't singing.

No? Sounded like some singing to me.

[ another pat. ]

Keyword is some. Except replaced with none.

[ rubs her face into his chest and makes a whining sound. ]

Nooooooo...

[ gives comforting rubs on her back. ]

There, there. We'll get through this together.

[ seems to think of something randomly, head snapping up to look at him. ]

You should sing another duet with me sometime! We'll perform in front of my parents.

I'll get disowned.

No you won't, silly!

[ leans into his face closely. ]

In fact, don't you think it would be a great way to thank them for taking us on this trip?

[ leans back automatically. ]

I think I want to stick with Plan A and flowers. . .

[ looks both disappointed and disgruntled at the same time. ]

But that isn't special enough...

[ has to pause a bit, feeling his resolve crumbling for two seconds. manages to shake himself out of it in time, fueled by an increasing level of embarrassment. ]

Plan B and baking?

[ level of disappointment seems to slowly disappear but the pout stays. ]

Well... okay.

[ goes for plan c & changing the topic. ]

We could bake something for them together?

[ instantly brightens, giving him some enthusiastic nods. ]
