[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ leans into that touch & turns his gaze to the ground, expression going both soft & sad as he thinks back to the previous week. ]

[ notices the look, his expression shifting to something that's more concerned yet unsure. hand hovers there before he places it more firmly on the top of anthony's head, thumb stroking the soft hair. opens his mouth to speak, ready to ask what's wrong-- ]

[ pops up behind them without any warning, a great big smile plastered on her face. ]

[ jumps again for the second time that day, feeling his heart catching in his throat as he momentarily forgets tony's hand in his hair. then gently nudges tony's hand away to turn & face alyssa. ]

Hi, Ly--

[ freezes when he feels identical weights attaching themselves around both wrists. blinks, feeling a strange sense of doom & glances down--

& chokes. ]

[ first glances over at alyssa, jumping a little when he notices her hair. opens his mouth to say something to her about it, though is thrown off by the twins' sudden apperance.

blinks down at them. tilts his head a little, deciding to give them a smile, blind to anthony's distress to take that as his first warning signal. bends down to look at them properly. ]
