[ packs the essential water bottles & sandwiches in his backpack before he's off, putt putt putting to the fair's designated parking spot. doesn't immediately head for the meeting spot, however, strolling on over the bathroom first to do his business. before he leaves, he takes a moment to poke at some of the misbehaving strands on his head in a slightly disgruntled manner. attempts smoothing the strands down twice, then shakes his head, accepting the catastrophe that had been yesterday's sudden rain shower.

making his way back into the outside world, he ignores the trail of waddling seagulls behind him & begins to lazily walk toward the ticket booth to wait for alyssa & tony. ]

[ puts the phone back into his pocket before picking up his and alyssa's bowl. holds his hand out towards anthony's with a smile. ]

You tired too, chocobo?

[ finishes the last bite, then hands the bowl over with a thankful glance. ]

Yeah. Long day.

[ smile softens a bit, placing all the bowls into one hand so that he can stroke anthony's hair once before patting him on the shoulder. ]

Go get her to bed. I'll clean up.

[ nods & gets to his feet. ]

[ then turns to alyssa & holds out a hand. ]

Bedtime, honey.

[ rubs at an eye again, peering up at anthony when she's cleared her vision a bit. smiles and takes his hand, standing. ]

[ smiles back briefly & tugs her down the (short) hallway & toward his room. gestures to the bed when they arrive. ]

Which side do you want?

[ takes a small running start before she jumps stomach-first onto the bed with a thump. ]

[ blinks & approaches to sit at the side of the bed. nudges her over to the right. ]

But we need to share.

[ only hums in reply, as if she's ignoring him. after a beat she rolls onto her back, looking up at anthony with a calculating gaze. lifts a hand to place her fingertips on the side of his face, a ghost-like touch. ]

Come here.

[ scoots a little closer to her after a moment, leaning down a bit with a confused expression. ]

[ raises her other hand to cup it around his cheek. lifts up a bit to press a kiss on the edge of one of his eyes, lingering there for only a moment before lying back down again. keeps one hand there, stroking his hair fondly in silence. ]

[ breathes in softly, then brushes aside some of her bangs as he leans down to return the favour, pressing his lips softly against her skin. then leans away to give her a soft smile. ]

[ returns the soft smile with one of her own in a silent reply. lets out a faint "mm"-ing sound in closing as she shuts her eyes and swiftly drifts off into sleep without another word. ]

[ strokes her hair a few moments longer. then lets his hands pause as he presses another kiss to the forehead. ]

[ gets up from the bed slowly as not to disturb her, pulling the blanket up to her shoulders. gives her hair one last, gentle pet before shuffling out toward his dad's room to grab a pair of pajama pants. then turns his gait back towards the kitchen toward tony, giving the table a short knock to announce his re-arrival.

holds out the pants toward his friend. ]

She's asleep. Must've been tired.

[ pauses in washing the last dish, glancing over his shoulder. wipes his hand on a dish towel before taking the required steps to stand in front of anthony. accepts the pajama pants, smiling in thanks. ]

I kinda figured. She looks like she gets tired easily nowadays.

... ? [ tilts his head, reaching down to stroke the side of anthony's flushed cheek, expression growing softer. ] Something good happened?

[ steps up to wrap his arms around tony to pull him into a hug. ]

. . . Something really good.

[ blinks down at the crown of anthony's head in surprise at the sudden gesture. eventually wraps his arms around his companion, pressing his nose into his hair. ]

[ nudges his own nose against tony's chest as he smiles again. ]

She gave me a good night kiss.

[ chuckles a little at that, holding him a bit tighter. ]

[ nuzzles his face into his chest, then closes his eyes contently. ]

[ strokes his hair idly while humming in consideration. ]
