[ hits send on the text message to alyssa -- that he's coming to visit for a short while -- before he starts up his scooter & steers himself in the direction of nathan's apartment. his backpack is holding only one thing, but it's precious enough of a bundle that he wears the backpack against his stomach. ignores the looks he's getting both on & off the street, parking tinkerbell in her usual corner spot. it's been almost two weeks since he's saw her (two weeks to recover), which is why he'd armed himself with a present in apology.

stands in front of the door to the stairs for a moment, wondering if he's feeling up to the physical exertion today-- then just changes direction to walk in the direction of the elevator. glances up at the ceiling of it when he's on board & pressed the proper number, feeling a little nervous for no reasons he could consciously finger. decides to shrug it off the best he can when he shuffles off it, rummaging around his backpack to take out the wrapped present before something (someone?) in front of a door catches his eye.

... stops. blinks. ]

. . . ? [ belatedly realizes that the boy is front of the door he needs to reach, making him pause, blink & speak: ] . . . Hi.

... [ lets out a puff of air through his nose. ]

「 Okay. 」

[ gives another hair ruffle & a smile. ]

I'll look after dinner.

... !

「 Is it ready? 」

Almost. Just have to fry it.

[ hops off the bed and tugs at anthony's shirt, signaling that he's ready for his food. ]

[ blinks at him, then also gets to his feet. gently dislodges himself from hiro's grip to start walking toward the door. ]

Give me ten more minutes, then.

[ nods and obediently sits on the edge of the bed again, staring at anthony expectantly. ]

[ wanders out into the kitchen to return to his almost-done product. takes him a little longer than ten minutes by the time he's finished both cooking & setting the table, but soon enough, he's calling for hiro: ]

It's ready.

[ jumps up and off the bed, walking a little hurriedly towards the table. peeks down at what he assumes is his seat, placing his cup down so that he can properly wiggle onto one of the chairs. ]

[ puts a bowl of fried rice in front of hiro when the boy adjusts. fetches himself his own drink & portion of food afterward, then also takes a seat. ]

. . . Dig in?

[ sets his cellphone down, grabbing his utensil. pauses before he eats, typing up: ]

「 Itadakimasu. 」

[ & then begins to nom. ]

[ blinks & tilts his head toward the cellphone to get a better look at the word he had barely managed to read before hiro started eating. ]

It-ah. . . da-ki-maa-sue?

[ looks extremely pleased at the food, quickly noming down a few more spoonfuls. thinks for a moment on how to explain it, only typing when he swallows. ]

「 I express my gratitude for the food. 」

[ seems to puff up a bit. ]

Oh. You're welcome?

[ nods a few times, going back to focusing on his fried rice in silence. when he's had his fill for the time being he sits back in his chair, reaching for his pokemon cup to take a long sip of it. picks up his cellphone. ]

「 Gochiso-sama. 」 [ stops. translates as casually as possible: ] 「 Thank you for feeding me. 」

[ is half-way done his share, but looks up in time when he hears hiro's movements stop. & when sees the words, he smiles again with a small nod. ]

You're welcome.

[ swings his legs a little happily, taking another drink of his apple juice. a thought crosses his mind, making him ask: ]

「 Are you always this nice to strangers? 」

[ shakes his head, his answer coming to him instantly. ]

I'm bad with people. Strangers.

[ is obviously hopeful with his next words. ]

「 Am I special, then? 」

[ lips twitch again, but manages to keep his expression intact. seems a bit embarrassed as well, struggling past the creeping blush. ]

. . . Yes. [ pauses, then adds: ] L-Little brother is special.

[ gives a considering look for a moment or two. scoots out of his chair and goes over to anthony, giving him a hug around his middle. releases a hand to type: ]

「 Onii-san is special too. 」

[ puts the arm around him again, face pressed against him. ]

[ does not immediately respond, a little startled by the gesture. when he recovers, he slowly wraps his own arms around hiro, the rest of his body bending a tad so that he can push his nose against the boy's hair. ]

. . . Thanks. [ for many things, but doesn't voice that for now, content in simply enjoying this moment. ]

[ buries into him a little bit more, squeezing a little in appreciation. peers up when another thought comes to him, slowly typing and holding up the cellphone for anthony to see. ]

「 Is it really okay? 」 [ pauses to specify: ] 「 To stay here until someone comes back? 」

[ nuzzles his nose into hiro's hair, then straightens to give him a nod. ]

Yeah. It'd be nice if. . . if you could stay.

「 Okay. I'll stay. 」 ... 「 Even if I can camp as good as Red. 」
