[ a party at the end of finals was something alyssa had not been entirely interested in, merely shaking her head a little bit shyly when the offer was brought to her attention in class one day. of course, this was before anthony had shrugged and said they should go since the opportunity was there. why not? was what alyssa got out of it, prompting her to quickly agree with some hesitation despite herself. and this was why the girl sat tucked into a corner of one of the couches in the room, tapping the cup in her hands a little for no reason in particular other than giving herself something to do.

with her feet moving back and forth to the music that plays overhead, she sips her (thankfully untouched) punch slowly, eyes glancing around at all the students that are mingling in small groups here and there. a part of her wasn't sure why people were watching her and anthony closely every now and then, as if they knew something that she did not. nonetheless she continues to sit there in silence, glancing down at her phone every now and then to see if she has any texts from nathan-- she was sure he would be doing that throughout the duration of her stay. ]

But Pikachu is superior. And smart. And cuddly. A little quiet, but really cute.

[ shakes her head a few times. ]

[ pulls away, jutting his lips out in a disappointed fashion. ]

I am getting more punch. When I return, choose Pikachu.

[ grabs at his wrist. ]

You can't! [ tugs at him a little. ] That punch is bad!

But it makes the world really bright.

The world is bright enough without it.

[ at those words, he shakes his head, wiping at his eyes with an arm. ]

No, the world sucks. That's why punch exists.

[ gasps, removing her hand. slowly pouts, looking a little hurt. ]

B-But I thought we had a lot of fun together...

[ droops at that. ]

See. You're making that face again. 'Cause of me. The world sucks. I suck. Good-bye! Lord Voldemort is waiting for me.

[ tries to waddle off. ]

[ when he starts to waddle off and is still in seeing distance she grabs the cup, chucking it at the back of his head. ]

[ almost doubles over when the cup hits him. thankfully doesn't fall, having enough momentum to turn around & throw both arms up in the air. ]

[ calls out, not looking very happy in the process: ]

[ points a finger in her direction. ]

You! Young lady! Don't call me names!

[ points back at him, blind to the stares they're getting. ]

I'll call you names all I want, mister!

I do accept you! [ pouts, opening her arms again. ] Come cuddle me!

[ gives her a thumbs-up. ]

Okay! After some punch. I'll bring you back peanuts!

[ knows it's a lost cause but she can't help herself: ]

Okay... but no punch!

[ & then crosses her arms over her chest once more, flopping backwards onto the couch with a huff. ]

[ understands that as don't bring the punch, so upon waddling to the punch table, he downs another cupful within the same second. almost knocks the refreshments over as he picks off some of the peanuts from the cakes they have available, gathering them into an empty cup for alyssa before shuffling back to the couch. plops down next to her when he returns, handing the cup of peanuts over to her with a pleased expression. ]
