[ a party at the end of finals was something alyssa had not been entirely interested in, merely shaking her head a little bit shyly when the offer was brought to her attention in class one day. of course, this was before anthony had shrugged and said they should go since the opportunity was there. why not? was what alyssa got out of it, prompting her to quickly agree with some hesitation despite herself. and this was why the girl sat tucked into a corner of one of the couches in the room, tapping the cup in her hands a little for no reason in particular other than giving herself something to do.

with her feet moving back and forth to the music that plays overhead, she sips her (thankfully untouched) punch slowly, eyes glancing around at all the students that are mingling in small groups here and there. a part of her wasn't sure why people were watching her and anthony closely every now and then, as if they knew something that she did not. nonetheless she continues to sit there in silence, glancing down at her phone every now and then to see if she has any texts from nathan-- she was sure he would be doing that throughout the duration of her stay. ]

[ cranes his head back toward him & flaps his arms a little. ]

[ begins to drag him in another direction. ]

[ makes another HRK noise, but stumbles along. ]

Mayday! Mayday! Tail feathers in danger!

[ just keeps on walking without another word to him, making a beeline back to his small group of friends. briefly apologizes to them for having to leave early, saying something along the lines of have to take the idiot drunk home before giving another wave.

& then he begins to drag anthony towards the door as he rolls his eyes up at the ceiling in a "why me?" manner. ]

[ seems to go for another tactic, latching his arms around tony's waist to proceed into dead-weight mode. ]

Nooooo, Tony! Don't take me away!

You're gonna get yourself raped or something if you pass out here. [ keeps on going, though he seems to be struggling a bit. ] Or auctioned off to some cannibals.

[ snorts, though the sound is made with some amount of effort. drags his feet. ]

I'll be a~a~all good. Lyssa went home, and you're with-- should be with--?

[ frowns, having confused himself. then looks up at tony to speak rather clearly: ]

I'm so drunk that I'm hallucinating.

... oh for the love of-- [ turns to face anthony, prying him off with little effort. just pulls him up and tries to hold him steady, smacking the side of his face lightly to get his full attention. ]

Look, I wanna get back before you barf in my car. [ lifts his hands for a brief second, realizing that it's a bad idea when he sees him sway a little. puts them back in place. ] Is anyone over at your place?

[ nods, only stopping when the excessive amount of movement seems to dizzy him. ]

[ just. stares at him. but doesn't stay like that for too long as he's sighing and squatting down in front of anthony, making motions for him to climb onto his back as he does not trust him to stay upright otherwise. ]

P-Piggyback ride?!

[ all but throws himself onto tony back, hugging at his neck. nuzzles his face into the back of tony's head. ]

[ oofs a little at the impact, sighing a bit as he feels that nuzzling. ]

Yes, yes.

[ makes sure he has a hold on anthony, adjusting him accordingly before standing up and stepping further away from the party behind them. ]

[ hangs onto him as lightly as he can, simply resting his head against tony's. ]

. . . I promise I wasn't lying. [ unwraps an arm to stretch it forward with his pinky finger outstretched. ] I promise.

[ pretends to not see that pinky finger, instead saying: ]

And I promise you that you're going to have the worst headache in the morning.

[ draws his arm back, growing quieter. ]

Oh. You're angry again.

[ grunts, adjusting anthony again when he feels him slip a little. ]

If I was that angry I wouldn't be talking to you.

[ presses his forehead against the back of tony's neck. ]

Yeah. . . I know. [ then cranes his head to catch a glimpse of tony's face. ] I brought money! I can take a taxi. Always wanted to ride one, it's like the Godzilla. Gondola.

[ looks down at the ground and shakes his head. ]

Not tonight, kiddo.

[ settles back, gnawing on his lower lip as he tries to make sense of things. gives up soon thereafter, upon realizing that he can't get firm of a grip on his thoughts to even properly attempt. ]

. . . Okay. [ presses his nose against tony's neck again. ] But don't be sad. Please don't be sad.

[ lets out a sigh, tilting his head to get a look down at the top of anthony's head. ]
