[ stretches when p.e. class is finally over, feeling a little bit like jelly, a little bit like a boulder & a little bit of weakling. shakes his arms a bit to free himself of that feeling, rubbing the back of his neck as he silently tells himself that though the class would only grow to be more strenuous as the semester goes on (especially during the stress-high weeks of exam prep), he'd still enjoy it, not regret it. etcetra. but at the moment, he stinks, even to himself. after spending a rude amount of time at the water fountain (drinking his fill, ignoring his surroundings as usual), he changes directions toward the lockers, intent on taking a quick shower, changing out of his gym clothes & perhaps heading home early for the day. ]

[ stares after michael, continuously munching on the gummy worms. only takes breaks to take a sip of his smoothie & to answer anne. shrugs. ]

I think so? He said I passed, and he's treating me to food.

[ takes a seat on the edge of michael's chair to be on eye-level with anthony. ]

That's wonderful. Congratulations on passing, Anthony. It's not easy to please him so quickly.

Uh. Thanks. . . [ another gummy worm down. ] He's Spartan strict.

[ laughs lightly, moving a hand to straighten some of the highlighters and papers skewed on the table. ]

Yes... he's always been like that, though. I think you will get used to it in time.

[ gathers his smoothie into both hands so that he can lean back in his chair to sip at it contently. ]

Soccer shouldn't be pain and suffering.

[ nods to her as a means of greeting, taking his seat again before looking over at anthony. glances at his drink. ]

How is your smoothie? [ grabs a pen, spinning it a bit. ] Is it to your tastes?

[ glances between the siblings once, then nods in response to michael's question. takes another sip. ]

I like it. It's very good. [ seems to consider something, then nods again to himself. ]

[ gives a short nod and hum of approval before he goes back to his homework. ]

[ it isn't until he's done his smoothie that he speaks again, voicing a thought that hits him randomly. ]

How often's practice?

Five days a week. Typically I only allow practices to be two hours per day with small breaks in between. Sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. Depends on your level of productivity.

I have everything set up already. Sometimes it'll be four days, especially around exams. You'll have a schedule sent to you within a week.

[ keeps on standing there, looking back and forth between michael and anthony in silence. when she feels like the conversation is relatively over she speaks. ]

U-Um... [ peers at anthony curiously. ] Are you hungry for anything in specific? I can make you something to take home with you if you'd like.

[ shifts a bit guiltily when he realizes that she's been standing there for a while. starts to shake his head slowly, then changes it into a nod. ]

Sure. Uh. . . [ glances up at the blackboard with the day's special. notes the sandwich & points to that. ] That. For two, please?
